# Use freebies to improve lead capture

A **freebie** is also referred to as a lead magnet or a service or product given free of charge. Giving your visitors a "taste" of your product will help you grow your email list and can be the first step to converting them into paying customers.

### Upload a freebie to Creator.io

* Open your Creator.io account
* Navigate to your **chatbot settings**
* Toggle on **collect email address** and **include a freebie with email submission**
* Update your **thank you default message** and include a link for **resource download**:
