# Manage failed payments in PayPal

> Monitor and locate failed payments in PayPal.

Failed payments processed through **PayPal** must be monitored directly through PayPal. Unlike Stripe, PayPal payment failures won't appear in your Kajabi dashboard. This guide shows you how to locate and manage failed payments in your PayPal account.

## PayPal

For payments processed with PayPal, you will need to monitor your payments through [PayPal](https://www.paypal.com/).

If a payment fails with PayPal, you will not be able to see the failure in Kajabi. Any upcoming payments will have the status as "Upcoming," and the overall subscription status will remain as "Active."

## PayPal retries

If a payment fails, PayPal attempts to retry the payment every 5 days up to twice per billing cycle. However, if the second retry fails, PayPal counts it as a payment failure, and the failed payment amount will be added to the outstanding balance for the next billing cycle.

* [Log into your PayPal account](https://www.paypal.com/signin)
* Navigate to the **Home** tab of your PayPal account
* Click **Recurring Payments** under "Quick Links"
* Navigate to your list of payments
* Filter by **Outstanding Payments**

You can click on individual customers for more information about their outstanding payment(s).
