When a customer's payment fails, automated emails can help recover the payment by prompting them to update their payment method. **Stripe** allows you to configure these emails to include a payment invoice, making it easy for customers to complete their payment. ## Set up automated emails for payment failures * Log into your Stripe account * Click the gear icon to open your **Settings** * Under the Billing section, select **Subscriptions and Emails** * Then, toggle on **Send emails to customers to update failed card payment methods** Stripe email settings *Click image to enlarge* * Customize your email template by clicking the **eye** symbol Read [Stripe's Support Guide](https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/send-email) for details.
