# Hide contacts

> Declutter the Contacts tab by hiding contacts you don't need to see regularly.

If your contact list feels too cluttered, you can hide contacts from your **Contacts** tab to keep things organized.

## Hide a contact

1. Open the **Contacts** tab from the Dashboard.
2. Locate the contact you wish to hide.
3. Click the name of the contact.
4. Open the `…` icon to access **More Actions**.
5. Select **Hide**:

## Understand what hiding does

Hiding a contact or member simply hides them from view in your **Contacts** tab.

Filtering or segmenting your contacts will not display hidden contacts, but searching with their contact information (such as name or email) will display the hidden contact:

## FAQs

### Can hidden contacts receive marketing emails?

Yes, if your hidden contact is a subscriber and you include them in your mailing list, the contact can receive your marketing emails.

### Can hidden customers access their Library with purchased Products?

Yes, if your hidden contact is a member they will be able to log in to their Library to access their purchased Products.

### Can hidden contacts leave comments?

Yes, hidden contacts will have the same comment functionality as visible contacts depending on how you have set up your comments in your digital Products.
