# Cancel a customer's subscription

> End future payments and remove access to the Products included with a customer's subscription.

Keep in mind that deleting a Product or Offer will not cancel a customer's subscription, whereas canceling the subscription will end future payments.

<Note>
  **Note:** Looking to give your customers access to canceling their own subscription(s)? [Enable customer subscription self-cancelations](/articles/contacts/manage-your-contacts/enable-and-disable-customer-subscription-self-cancelations) to allow this.
</Note>

## Cancel subscriptions, payment plans, and access

You can end a customer's subscription or payment plan and remove access to the Product(s) included with the Offer for payment plan Offers and recurring subscription Offers.

Canceling payments from the Purchase Information page on Kajabi will end the subscription for payments processed through both Stripe and PayPal.

<Note>
  **Note:**
  If you are manually upgrading or downgrading a Customer's Subscription, first cancel their original Offer in order for your customers to purchase the upgraded or downgraded Offer.

  No further charges will occur if the cancellation is scheduled within the current billing cycle. However, if the cancellation date is set beyond the current billing cycle, the customer will be charged for all billing cycles up to that date, including a prorated amount if it does not align with a full billing cycle. Additionally, any failed payment retries will continue until they are successfully processed or exhausted.
