# Distinguish between revoking an Offer and canceling payments

> Understand the difference between revoking Product access and canceling payments to manage customer subscriptions effectively.

Revoking Product access and canceling payments serve different purposes. Revoking access removes a customer from a Product but does not stop future payments, while canceling payments stops both access and future charges.

## Revoke Product access

Revoking a customer's Product access will not stop any future payments. However, they will no longer have access to the Product and will be removed from that product.

This will allow you to retain your customers' records (i.e., [Product Progress](../../analytics/report-product-progress)), but will not allow them to access the revoked content.

1. Open the **Contacts** tab from your Dashboard.
2. Select an existing **Customer**.
3. Click into **View More** next to "Total Products" from the Contact Preview.
4. Locate the Offer you wish to view.
5. Click **View Purchase Information** to open the Purchase Information Page for the Offer.
6. Select **Revoke Access** or **Revoke Product** for a specific Product:

</div>

Revoking an Offer will display the "Access status" row in the Purchases tab with the indicator, "Access revoked" and the party responsible for the action (e.g., email of the person or by automation).

<Note>
  **Note:** If a customer has access to the Offer, then no access row will be shown.
</Note>

When it is time to reactivate your customer's Product Access:

1. Select the Customer's name.
2. Click into **View More** next to "Total Offers" from the Contact Preview.
3. Select **Purchases**.
4. Click **View Details** to open the Transaction Details page for the Offer.
5. Click **Resume Product** next to the Product(s) you wish to reactivate:

</div>

## Cancel payments and access

Canceling payments will stop product access and future payments, such as payment plan or subscription payments. Canceling payments from the Purchase Information page on Kajabi will end the subscription for payments processed through both Stripe and PayPal.

1. Open the **Sales** tab from your Dashboard.
2. Select the **Payments.**
3. Click **Subscriptions.**
4. Open the **More Actions** menu (…) for the subscription you wish to cancel.
5. Click **Cancel Payments**.
6. Select the date to cancel payments and access:
   * **End of the Current Billing Period**.
   * **On a Custom Date**.
   * **Cancel Now**.
7. Click **Cancel Payments** to confirm:
