# Add a GIF to an Email Campaign with EZ GIF

> Create and include a GIF in Email Campaigns using EZ GIF.

**GIF** is a lossless format for image files that supports both animated and static images. Include a GIF in your Email Campaigns to add visual interest and engagement.

<div className="w-full aspect-video">
  <iframe src="https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/egx4jeiz08" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowFullScreen className="w-full h-full" />
</div>

## Create a GIF from an MP4 file

* Visit the [EZ GIF](https://ezgif.com/) website.
* Choose "GIF Maker" or "Video to GIF" in the top menu bar.
* Select the media you would like to convert into a GIF.
* Click **Upload and make a GIF!**
* Then, click **Convert to GIF!**
* Scroll down to see the GIF you have created.
* Click **Save** to save and download your GIF:

<div className="w-full aspect-video">
  <iframe src="https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/wny6g6nsqj" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowFullScreen className="w-full h-full" />
</div>

## Optimize the GIF size for email

* Begin with the GIF you have just created, or upload the GIF to [EZ GIF](https://ezgif.com/).
* Choose **Optimize.**
* Compress the file so that the GIF is small enough to use in an email (usually around 3-5 MiB):

<div className="w-full aspect-video">
  <iframe src="https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/s2d1gw1a8r" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowFullScreen className="w-full h-full" />
</div>

Click **Save** to save and download your optimized GIF.

## Attach the GIF to the body of an email

* From the Dashboard of your Kajabi account, click the **Marketing** tab.
* Then, select **Email Campaigns** and click the title of the Email you want to edit.
* In the Body of your email, click the image icon with the Classic Email Editor or add an Image Block with the [Email Visual Editor](/articles/marketing/email-campaigns/email-visual-editor-overview).
* Then, click **Select Image** and select your GIF to upload.
* Attach it to your email by selecting **Upload File** and uploading your GIF as an attachment.
* Click **Save** to apply your changes:

<div className="w-full aspect-video">
  <iframe src="https://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/sh1a907og6" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowFullScreen className="w-full h-full" />
</div>
