# Customize the mobile and desktop layout in Email Campaigns

> Change the layout of an email based on the device contacts use to view it.

In the **Email Visual Editor**, you can change the layout of an email based on the device contacts use to view it.

## Preview an email on different devices

At the top of the Email Editor page, you can choose which device you would like to view the email in as you edit:

## Edit the desktop layout

### Edit the Desktop Layout

* In the sidebar, click a section.
* Locate the **Section Settings** header and click **Desktop Layout**.
* Customize the layout to the section.
* Click **Save** to keep your changes.

Customize the desktop layout by configuring the following features:

* **Hide Section**: This feature allows you to hide a specific section in the desktop view.
* **Desktop Section Padding**: Adjusting the padding shifts the content within the section to your desired appearance.
* **Width**: Adjust the width of the section. Use the format 540px or simply 540 to specify your desired width:

* Locate the **Section Settings** header and click **Mobile Layout**.
* Customize the layout to the section.
* Click **Save** to keep your changes.

  The Email Visual Editor is designed to arrange itself in a vertically stacked layout for optimal viewing on mobile devices. Optimize your mobile viewing experience by editing the mobile layout in your Visual Editor Settings and for each section.
