# Inactive and active status in an Email Sequence

> Understand what active and inactive subscriber statuses mean in email sequences.

You can locate the **Status** of each email sequence subscriber in the **Subscribers** section of your email sequences:

* **Active** refers to the contacts who are subscribed to the sequence.
* **Inactive** refers to contacts who have unsubscribed from the sequence.
