# Replace an Event in an existing Funnel
> Replace an Event in an existing Funnel without rebuilding it from scratch.
Replacing an **Event** in an existing Funnel lets you swap out the current Event without rebuilding the entire Funnel. Remove the existing Event automation first, then add the replacement.
## Remove the existing Event from a Funnel
1. Open the **Marketing** tab from the Dashboard
2. Select **Funnels**
3. Select your Funnel to open your Funnel template
4. Select the automation that you use to register contacts to an Event when your form is submitted. This automation will be found on your opt-in page
5. Click **Delete**
6. Click **Ok** to confirm you would like to delete the automation rule
## Add an Event to the Funnel
1. Open the **Marketing** tab from the Dashboard
2. Select **Funnels**
3. Select your Funnel to open your Funnel template
4. Click **Add Automation**
5. Select **Register to an event** from the dropdown menu
6. Select your Event from the dropdown menu
