# Add Coaching client notes

> Add shared notes your client can see, and private notes they cannot.

Keep your coaching sessions organized with **shared and private notes**. Shared notes are visible to both you and your coaching client, while private notes are for your eyes only.

## Shared notes

With shared notes you can create notes that both you and your coaching client can view at any time. This is a great place to make note of progress, provide session recaps, and list assignments.

## Private notes

Keep personal notes that only you can see and cannot be accessed by your coaching client. Use private notes to track observations during each coaching session.

**To add client notes:**

1. Open the **Products** tab from your Dashboard.
2. Click **Coaching.**
3. Select the **Session** you wish to view.
4. Open the **Notes** tab.
5. Add private notes under **Your notes**. Add notes clients can see under **Shared notes**.
6. Click **Save** to apply your changes.
