> Create, edit, and publish lessons in a Course.

**Courses** are made up of lessons and quizzes organized in modules. Each lesson can include media, written content, and downloadable files. You can control visibility and publish lessons when ready.

</Note>

### Lesson details

#### Title

You can edit the lesson title that will be displayed to your customers in the course outline and lesson player.

#### Select module

Choose which module this lesson will live in. You can reassign a lesson to a different module at any time.

#### Media

Optionally, you can include video, audio, or an assessment in your lesson.

If you prefer to not have any media, you can click **None**.

<Note>
  **Note:** The Assessment feature inside of courses has been sunset. This feature may still appear in older accounts. We recommend using [quizzes](https://help.kajabi.com/articles/products/courses/course-quizzes) inside your courses instead. Assessments can still be added to pages.
</Note>

#### Lesson Thumbnail

Add a custom thumbnail image that appears in the course outline.

To remove a lesson thumbnail:

1. From the Dashboard, click **Products.**
2. Click **Courses** and open the course you want to edit.
3. Click the **Pencil** icon next to the lesson.
4. In the **Lesson Thumbnail** panel on the right, click on the Image actions dropdown and select **Remove image.**
5. Click **Save.**

<Note>
  **Note:** Kajabi recommends using a .jpg or .png file with a non-transparent background. The recommended dimensions are 1280x720.
</Note>

#### Content

Use the text editor to add written content, images, and screenshots to your lesson. This content appears below the media section in the lesson player.

#### Comments

You can set the comment visibility for your lesson. There are 3 options:

* **Visible:** Customers can view and add comments to your lesson
* **Hidden:** Customers will not be able to view or add comments
* **Locked:** Customers can view existing comments but won't be able to add new comments

<Note>
  **Note:** If you wish to disable comments for all lessons, go to Settings in your course and see the **Comment Settings** section.
</Note>
