# Supported audio formats

> Kajabi supports many common audio formats, with MP3 recommended for best performance.

Kajabi can encode and display many common **audio formats** (see the list below).

However, for the most consistent performance, we recommend uploading files in the **MP3 format**.

  **Note:**
  The maximum file size for audio uploads is 4GB. However, we recommend audio files of 2GB or less. If your file size is larger than 4GB, use an audio file compression tool.

  For best performance, we recommend you aim to have your audio fall within these guidelines:

  * **MP3 file**
  * **AAC (Advanced Audio Codec)**
  * **44.1 kHz sample rate**
  * **2-channel stereo (not surround)**
