# Build membership levels
> Create membership tiers where customers are granted additional content based on their subscription level.
A **membership** is a recurring subscription for a substantial amount of content either granted immediately or over time. Memberships can also have tiers or levels where a customer is being granted additional content.
## Create membership products
First, create different Products for each Membership Level you would like to offer your customers.

## Create an Offer for each product
### Create Membership Levels as Offers
1. [Create an Offer](/articles/sales/offers/create-an-offer) for each membership level Product you have created.
2. Attach your Products to each respective membership offer. In this example, we created a Gold Membership product and attached it to the "Gold Membership" offer. Follow this model for all of your membership level offers.

**Tip:** If you enter your pricing information during the creation of your new Kajabi Product, your pricing information will automatically be used to create an Offer.
## FAQs
### **Can I build a recurring membership on Kajabi?**
Yes. Kajabi lets you create subscription-based memberships where members pay a recurring fee (weekly, monthly, or annually) to access your content. You can combine Courses, Communities, Downloads, and other content types into a full membership experience.
### **Can I create multiple membership tiers?**
Yes. You can build tiered memberships by creating separate content products for each level and connecting them to corresponding Offers. This lets you structure a basic tier, premium tier, or any combination that fits your business model.
### **What happens if a member cancels their subscription?**
You control this. You can configure Kajabi to revoke product access when a subscription is canceled or payment fails, ensuring only active paying members can view your content.
### **Can I limit how long a member has access to content?**
Yes. Kajabi's Offer settings allow you to restrict access to a specific number of days from the date of purchase. Useful for fixed-length programs or trial access.
### **Can new members access all content immediately, or is it released over time?**
Your choice. You can release all content at once when a member joins, or drip content over time on a set schedule — giving you full control over the pacing of your member experience.
### **Can I prevent new members from accessing older content from before they joined?**
Yes. Kajabi supports Monthly Enrolling Memberships where new members only access content from the point they joined forward, not past content. This is useful for date-based programs and rolling enrollments.
### **How do I attract and keep members engaged?**
Kajabi gives you tools for engagement including built-in email marketing, a community product, live events, challenges, and analytics to track what content is resonating. So you can keep your membership fresh and your churn rate low.
### **Can I offer a free trial before charging for membership?**
Yes. You can create trial access by using Kajabi's offer settings to provide free or discounted entry before a full subscription kicks in.
### **What's the difference between a Kajabi membership and a community?**
A membership is typically built around recurring access to content (courses, downloads, resources), while a Community is the social/discussion layer where members connect with each other and with you. Most successful memberships on Kajabi combine both.
### **Can I bundle multiple products into one membership offer?**
Yes. A single Kajabi Offer can bundle multiple Products together. For example, a course, a community, and downloadable resources are all accessible with one subscription.
