# Add a social share block

> Learn to add a button to your landing and website pages to share to your social platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), send as an email, or copy the link to share anywhere.

## What is a social share block?

With the Social Share Block, your page visitors can share your page with their friends and followers by directly sending the link to your page to their social platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), as an email, or by copying the link and sharing anywhere.

  Leverage the Social Share Block with your landing pages, website pages, and even your Newsletter pages. With the Social Share Block, you can make it easy for your website visitors to share your content with their friends and family to expand your reach.

## Adding a social share block

### To add a social share block to your page:

* Open the **Website** tab from the Dashboard.
* Select either **Website Pages** or **Landing Pages**.
* Open the page editor for your Page. [Learn more](../../website/pages/how-to-get-to-the-page-editor)
* In the sidebar panel, click the Section you want to edit or [create a new Section](../../website/pages/add-sections-to-your-pages).
  *Tip: Add the Social Share Block to your Header to maximize its potential. Just be sure to update your page template to the latest version to enable access to the Social Share Block.*
* In the sidebar, click **Add Content**.
* From the list, select **Social Share**.
* Your newly created Social Share Block will generate at the bottom of the Section.
* Click **Save** to keep your changes:

## Customizing a social share block

In a Social Share block, customize the:

* [Block Width](../../website/pages/how-to-customize-the-block-width)
* Text
* Button Action
* Behavior
* Button Background Color
* Button Width
* Button Style
* Button Size
* Border Radius
* Block Settings

### Text

Enter your custom text to display on your Social Share button. Use this opportunity to communicate to your users what the button will do.

### Button background color

Click the **Button background color** to select a color from your site color palette.

If you prefer to use a custom color, click the color wheel and then either enter your RGB color code or use the sliders to choose your color.

* The **vertical bar** allows you to select the hue.
* The **square box** allows you to select the brightness.
* The **horizontal bar** allows you to select the opacity of your color.

### Button text color

Complement your Button Background Color with a different Button Text Color.

  The Button Text Color is for solid buttons only.

Click the **Button Text Color** to select a color from your site color palette.

If you prefer to use a custom color, click the color wheel and then either enter your RGB color code or use the sliders to choose your color.

* The **square box** allows you to adjust the brightness and saturation of your color.
* The **horizontal rainbow bar** allows you to select the hue.
* The **horizontal gradient bar** allows you to select the opacity of your color.

### Button width

Adjust the width of your Button:

* Full: fill the width of the button area
* Auto: automatically adjust the width to fit the text

### Button style

Change the style of the Button to display:

* A solid colored button
* The outline of your Button Background Color

### Button size

Adjust the size of your Social Share Button:

* Small
* Medium
* Large

Changing the size of your Social Share block will change both the button background and text size.

### Border radius

Customize your Social Share Block to appear more rounded or squared.

If you are customizing a Social Share block in your standard website page, enter your desired value up to 50 to customize the individual buttons appearance.
