# Add a video embed block

> Learn to embed your video into your pages built with Kajabi from external video hosting platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo.

## What is a video embed?

Embedding allows you to take a video from an external video hosting platform like YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia and post it on your page.

Using embedded video content to display videos you have on other video hosting platforms allows you to engage your site visitors directly from your site without having to leave your landing page.

## Adding a video embed block

* Open the **Website** tab from the Dashboard.
* Select either **Website Pages** or **Landing Pages**.
* Open the page editor for your Page. [Learn more](../../website/pages/how-to-get-to-the-page-editor)
* Click the Section you want to edit or [create a new Section](../../website/pages/add-sections-to-your-pages).
* In the sidebar, click **Add Content**.
* From the list, select **Video**.
* Your newly created Video Embed Block will generate at the bottom of the Section.
* Paste or enter your Video Embed Code.
* Click **Save** to keep your changes:

## Customizing your video embed block

In a Video Embed Block, customize the [Block Width](../../website/pages/how-to-customize-the-block-width), the embedded video, and the appearance of your Block with the Video Embed Block Settings.

## Embedding your video: Copy & paste the video embed code

### Step 1. Copy your video embed code

Copy the Embed Code for the Video you want to embed onto your page.

In this example, we are copying the Video Embed Code for a Kajabi video hosted on YouTube:

* Open the Video you want to embed.
* Click **Share**.
* Click **Embed**.
* Click **Copy**:

### Step 2. Paste your video embed code

Navigate to your Kajabi admin account to paste your copied embed code:

* Open the Template Editor containing the Video Embed Block you wish to edit.
* Click the **Video Embed Block** to access the sidebar editor.
* In the sidebar, paste the embed code into the Embed Code field.
* Click **Save** to keep your changes:
