# Make the switch to the Website Builder

> Learn to install and activate the Website Builder and begin designing your website pages with the latest editing capabilities.

Install and activate the Website Builder to gain access to the latest updates and features for customizing the overall appearance of your site.

## Overview

The Website Builder provides the latest editing capabilities for designing your website pages. By installing a template and customizing it behind the scenes, you can build out your website and launch with a polished, completed look when you're ready.

## Install your template

First, select your desired template:

1. Open the **Website** tab from your Dashboard.
2. Select **Template Store**.
3. Click your desired template.
4. Click **Add to saved templates**:

<Tip>
  **Tip:** Rename your newly installed template to an easily identifiable internal name by clicking the `…` menu next to the name then selecting **Rename template**.

## Customize your standard website pages

Now that you have installed the Website Builder, customize your website pages to best fit your brand and business:

1. Next to the newly installed template, click the color palette icon to **Customize**.
2. Navigate to the sidebar and open **Settings** to first configure your global page settings.
3. Customize your website pages with the Website Builder. Be sure to click **Save** after each change you wish to apply.
4. Navigate through your standard website pages to customize with the Website Builder by using the top dropdown menu:

This allows you to build out your website with the Website Builder behind the scenes.

When you're ready to make the switch with your website, activate your newly customized template.

## Activate your template

Each Website template can be customized independently of each other. The activated template will be the only template visible to your visitors.

This allows you to design your website behind-the-scenes and launch with an all-new, completed look.

After customizing your newly updated website, activate your template to launch:

1. Return to your list of **Saved Templates**.
2. Hover your cursor over your template.
3. Click **Set to live template**:

Congratulations, you have now launched your website with the Website Builder.
