Additional fees

The following fees can apply regardless of which payment method your customer uses. You'll only be charged for the ones relevant to your transaction.

Kajabi Sales Tax

Fee

Rate

Kajabi Sales Tax

$0.15 per transaction

With Kajabi Sales Tax, you only pay for what you use. The fee is 15 cents per transaction and will only apply to transactions from Offers that have Kajabi Sales Tax enabled.

Invoicing

Fee

Rate

Kajabi Invoicing

+ 0.4% per invoice

This fee applies when a payment is processed through Kajabi Invoicing, in addition to the base processing rate for the payment method used.

Disputes

Fee

Rate

Dispute (chargeback) fee

$15.00 per disputed transaction

If a dispute (also called a chargeback) occurs with one of your customers, their issuing bank will deduct the disputed amount from Kajabi, along with the associated dispute fee for the payment method. The total amount, including the dispute fee, will be deducted from your Kajabi Payments Balance. In the event that your Kajabi Payments balance cannot cover the disputed amount, it will be deducted from the bank account you have attached to your Kajabi Payments account.

Note:

The dispute fee will not be refunded even if the dispute is eventually resolved in your favor. There is no evidence submission process for ACH payments and the dispute outcome is final.

Currency conversion

Fee

Rate

Currency conversion

+ 1%

A 1% fee applies when currency conversion is performed. This fee is included in the exchange rate so you will not see this as an explicit fee.

Note: There are no fees to Refund a charge; however, the fees from the original charge are not returned.

FAQs

When is an international fee applied?

The international card fee only applies when the card used by the buyer is issued in a different country from where you are located. This is often called a cross-border fee.

When would I be charged a subscription or payment plan fee?

The recurring billing fee only applies to recurring transactions, for example on subscriptions and payment plans. This fee applies to all transactions related to the subscription or payment plans including the initial transaction and all subsequent transactions.

When does the currency conversion fee get applied?

The currency conversion fee only applies if the Offer is set to a currency different from your bank’s settlement currency. For example, if you are a US-based business and your bank settles in USD, a currency conversion fee would apply if you set your Offer’s currency to anything other than USD.

Where can I see these fees?

All fees are assessed and deducted at the time of the transaction. You can view the details of the fees for each transaction via the Payouts Page.

Will refunding transactions mean that my customer cannot raise a dispute?

Proactively issuing a refund is the most effective way to prevent disputes. Although disputes may occasionally still arise, you'll have the opportunity to present evidence that the transaction has already been refunded for the dispute to be reversed in your favor.

Can you do a refund after a dispute has been raised to avoid the dispute fee?

Once a cardholder initiates a dispute, it is no longer possible to avoid the fee as the customer is now seeking reimbursement directly from their financial institution and not direct remediation from you.
