How to migrate your community members
Step 1. Identify your community structure
You may use channel-based messaging tools as a large public group that acts as a lead generator, or you may have a private group that is part of your paid subscription/membership offerings on Kajabi. Your migration steps will depend on the type of structure you want to move into Kajabi Communities.
Step 2a. You have a large public group
If you have a free, public group, you can use Kajabi Pages and Forms to help your members move to your new community.
- First, create an Access Group in your Kajabi Community. Learn to create an Access Group.
Note: When creating your Access Group, you will be prompted to create the Offer connected to your Access Group. Be sure to create a Free Offer when prompted.

Step 2b. You have a private group
If you have a private group that is part of a paid subscription/membership Offer on Kajabi, you will want to communicate your move often and early.

Note: If you have an existing Offer that you wish to bundle your community into, skip the step to create an Offer when creating your Access Group.
- Then, be sure to communicate with your community members your plan for migration and provide as much information as you can to help your members feel comfortable with the move.
Tip: Use a Landing Page and include a recording of walking through your new community to display how it will look and function in your communications. Learn to copy your page link to share. - Lastly, when your migration date arrives, simply add the Access Group to your existing Offer on Kajabi. Learn to Connect Additional Products to Your Offer.
