Learn how the proposal and invoicing processes work for clients in the Kajabi Experts marketplace.

In this article:

Proposals

A good project proposal should clearly outline the scope of project work, the timeline and submission date for each deliverable, the cost and payment terms, and the invoice and payment due date(s).

The proposal should also address what will happen if you later request any changes to the scope of the project. Learn more about best practices for collaborating with a Kajabi Expert.

Here’s what to expect with the proposal process on Kajabi Experts:

  • You create a project brief on the Kajabi Experts marketplace.
  • Your project is matched with the best-fit experts.
  • Experts contact you through the platform to discuss project details.
  • Upon mutual agreement of a match, the expert submits a proposal.
  • You choose to accept (or decline) the proposal.

To view and accept a proposal:

  • Click into the project from your Kajabi Experts dashboard.
  • Then, click to open your Messages.
  • Inside the expert’s proposal submission message, click Review proposal.
  • If you wish to accept the expert’s proposal:
    • Check the Hire this expert and agree to terms checkbox.
    • Click Accept and hire.
  • Or, if you wish to decline the expert's proposal, click Decline:

When you accept a proposal, this activates the project and commits the expert to completing the agreed-upon scope of work.

Invoices

Invoices are the vehicle for submitting and receiving project payments.

The timing of invoices and payments should be agreed upon in advance and written into the proposal. Learn more about how to have a successful project.
