Payment Storage
Provide your customers with a trusted, secure checkout experience by being transparent about the storage of their credit card information on your site.
If you choose to connect your Kajabi account with Stripe to process payments on your site, you have the ability to customize your card storage settings according to the rules, laws, and guidelines that may apply to your specific business.

Why not PayPal?
Sensitive financial information processed through PayPal, like a credit card or bank account number, is not passed on to your account.
Consequently, if a purchase is processed through PayPal, there is no financial information to store on Kajabi.
How to update your card storage opt-in settings
With Kajabi, you have three options to configure your card storage opt-in settings:
Your card storage opt-in settings apply to one-time payment transactions that are processed through Stripe.

To update your card storage opt-in settings:
- Open your Settings tab from your Dashboard.
- Click the Checkout Settings card under your Site Settings.
- Navigate to Card Storage Opt-in to configure your settings:
What will my customers see?
If a one-time payment Offer is processed through Stripe, your card storage opt-in settings will determine your customers experience during the checkout process.
Opted-out by default
Selecting the Opted-out by default setting, the recommended setting, allows your Members to choose to opt-in or opt-out of storing their financial information on your site.
With this setting, the option to opt-in will be deselected by default:
This means that if your Member chooses to disregard the opt-in field, they will be opted-out by default.
Why is this the recommended setting?
If a Member forgets to select the option or misses the option, your site will not store their financial information.
And if they choose to purchase another Offer in the future, they will simply enter their credit card information again.
This ensures that proper consent is given for financial information to be stored on your site.
How does it look?
- First, your customer must enter their credit card information into the checkout page.
- Then, the option to opt-in to store their credit card will display.
- After selecting or deselecting the opt-in, your customer will proceed through the checkout process.
Displaying the opt-in after your customer enters their credit card information creates a frictionless experience to avoid overwhelming your customer.
After the checkout process is completed (including any Upsells or Order Bumps connected to the Offer) their credit card information will be stored or discarded depending on their selection during checkout.
Opted-in by default
As opposed to the Opted-out by default setting, the Opted-in by default setting pre-selects the option to store their financial information during checkout:
This means that if your Member ignores the option to store their credit card information, your site will automatically store their credit card information on a secure server.
Disabled
If you wish to completely avoid the option of storing your customers financial information for one-time payment Offers processed through Stripe, then you can simply disable this option from your Checkout Page.
If you choose to disable the card storage opt-in your Members cannot store their credit card information for one-time payment Offers.
