What is the difference between system pages and custom website pages?

Can I draft system pages?

No, System Pages cannot be placed into draft mode.

Can I delete system pages?

No, System Pages are pre-built by Kajabi to make up the Foundation of your site. However, you can ensure that visitors cannot access certain System Pages by removing all links from your navigation menus to the System Pages you wish to discard.

How do I remove system pages from showing up on my site?

Remove the links leading to your System Pages by deleting the links from your Navigation Menus. Learn to edit links from your Navigation Menu

What system pages are necessary or recommended?

Kajabi helps you get your site up and running with your out-of-the-box system pages.

System pages cannot be removed from your site, however, you can disconnect them by removing the link from your navigation menus, email campaigns, etc.

However, to ensure that your site functions properly we recommend customizing and connecting your Login, Library, Thank You, and 404 pages to best represent your brand and ensure a seamless user experience for your visitors.

What are Landing pages?

Landing pages are individual, standalone pages used primarily for marketing purposes.

Design individual Sales pages, promotional pages, and more to deliver custom-tailored pages built to your audience.

Link your Landing pages to your website through navigation menus or keep them separate and use various mediums such as your marketing emails or social media accounts to drive traffic to your Landing pages.

Can you add a new landing page with the same template as your website pages?

No, landing pages and website pages are designed with unique, highly customizable templates to help you get started building your pages.

Can I create customer-only landing pages?

No, customer-only pages can only be created with the new custom website pages feature.

Are my custom website pages automatically added to my navigation menu?

No, Kajabi gives you the flexibility and the control to determine how visitors can reach your pages.

Manually link your custom website pages to specific navigation menus or keep them separate and link your custom website pages to your email campaigns and Funnels.

How do I add my new website pages to my navigation menu?

With the recent updates you can now select any page (System pages, Custom Website pages, Landing pages, and Funnel pages) when creating new links in your Navigation Menu.

If I have a website page linked to my navigation menu will it still appear if I draft the page?

No, drafting the page will hide the link from your navigation menu for your visitors, but will still remain visible when previewing as an admin to help you easily maintain your site.

With the recent updates, we want to help you ensure that your website avoids broken links!

Will modifying the code inside of a single system page edit the code for all system pages or only the individual page?

Selecting "Modify Code" from the website page will take you directly to the code editor. Once you are inside the code editor, you can navigate to other pages and modify code as needed.

Warning:
Introducing custom code to your site can open you up to vulnerabilities and potential malware attacks. We recommend using vulnerability tools like VirusTotal or Snyk to scan any custom code that you intend to use and apply certain best practices to help reduce potential impact.
