Have questions about the Maintenance being done to Kajabi on March 13th and how it will affect your business? We've put together a few Frequently Asked Questions to help!
In this article:
Why is there a planned Maintenace?
In order to ensure that Kajabi is providing you with the most reliable and scalable solution for your online business, we are investing in strengthening the infrastructure of the Kajabi platform. Specifically, we will be migrating our database to Amazon Web Services (AWS) on Saturday, March 13th at 4am PST.
How long will the maintenance last?
The database migration is expected to take around 30 minutes to complete. The app will be back online immediately after.
Is it going to be a site-wide downtime, or will happen only on few selected accounts?
This will be site-wide downtime and will affect all accounts.
Will I see a reminder or notification inside the admin console?
Yes, a dismissible in-app banner will be displayed in the admin on Monday, March 1st and a non-dismissible in-app banner will be displayed in the admin 48 hours before the maintenance.
Will my site be accessible for my members to access their course? Or is it only the Admin side that is down?
Some member-facing features may continue to work intermittently during the maintenance, but all features will be totally inaccessible for at least a few minutes, and potentially for the full duration of the maintenance.
Will my checkout pages still work or members will receive an error message while purchasing?
All checkouts will receive an error during the maintenance.
I have a scheduled email to go out by that time, will it go out as intended, or get delayed, or not send at all?
It is likely that there will be some email sending delays, so if it’s important that the email be delivered by a certain time, they should be scheduled to send at least a half-hour before the maintenance. Any delays will automatically resolve within a few minutes of the application coming back online.
If my team is working on customizing the theme editor by that hour, will that be saved?
As long as you save all progress before the maintenance begins, your work will be saved.
Will uploads they’re waiting for fail if not finished by the time the maintenance begins?
Once an upload is initiated, it should continue to process even if the site appears down.
