Are you unsubscribing my contacts?

No, we are not unsubscribing your contacts as part of this process.

Do I have to delete my contact list?

No, you will not have to delete your contact list.

However, it is good practice to clean your list regularly.

Kajabi will help you maintain a healthy mailing list by identifying and informing you of any action steps for inactive or high-risk contacts.

Can I opt-out of these changes?

No, these updates are being put in place to strengthen your email deliverability.

With these updates in place we'll be able to provide you with a higher and more consistent sending reputation.

Stronger contact import validation

We are enhancing the email validation process to improve email deliverability and performance.

How will this affect me during the import process?

You may notice that certain contacts do not successfully import.

This is because they are identified as high-risk contacts that may be detrimental to your email deliverability and sender reputation.

If a specific contact is identified as a high-risk contact you will receive an email notifying you of the specific contact and the reason they were not successfully imported.

Will my current contacts be affected by the new validation process?

Your current contacts will remain on your list. However, with the latest updates, Kajabi will analyze your contacts and flag high-risk and inactive email addresses and exclude them from receiving your marketing emails. Learn more.

If a high-risk contact is added to your site, but they visibly engage with your emails they will not be excluded from receiving your marketing emails.

Use reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse

What is a reCAPTCHA?

The reCAPTCHA is a Google service that will limit automated abuse by protecting your contact lists and business from bots.

Rather than the manual approach of checking boxes with certain images in them, the invisible reCAPTCHA is only invoked when it detects malicious traffic

How will reCAPTCHA impact my current Forms?

We have added reCAPTCHA to your Form Settings to allow you to activate or deactivate reCAPTCHA to your Forms that do not use Double Opt-In.

Do I need to add the reCAPTCHA to my Forms myself or will they automatically appear?

Your Forms can include a reCAPTCHA if you enable the setting in your Form Settings. This will ensure that any Forms that do not use Double Opt-In activate reCAPTCHA if necessary.

Can I disable reCAPTCHA on my Forms?

Yes, reCAPTCHA will be available in your Form settings which will allow you to turn it on and off as desired.

The reCAPTCHA on opt-in Forms is quickly becoming the industry standard and we are actively leaning into your feedback to inform our implementation of it.

For those not interested in reCAPTCHA, you will still have the option to enable double opt-in functionality instead and deactivate reCAPTCHA from your Forms.

Is my integration affected?

For Forms associated with a third-party integration, the reCAPTCHA will not be affected.

If you are integrated with Zapier, your Zaps will work as intended.

Rate limiting for Forms

What is Rate Limiting?

Rate limiting is used to control the rate of web pages that may be requested or submitted by any one person or bot.

How will this protect me?

Rate limiting can be used to prevent DoS attacks, bots, and limit web scraping.

This will ensure that your forms are protected from bots that attempt to mass submit emails to your site.

Identify and exclude inactive contacts from email sends

To help improve deliverability, we are creating a filtration process to identify and exclude inactive contacts from receiving your marketing emails.

How do I get my contacts off of a suppression?

Our team is working on ways for you to re-engage your contacts with an opt-in.

Will these contacts be suppressed from receiving both transactional and marketing emails?

These specific changes will only impact your marketing email sends.

How will this impact my deliverability?

Identifying and excluding inactive contacts from receiving your marketing emails will help preserve your email deliverability rates to ensure that more of your emails consistently land in your recipients' inboxes.

Sending emails to inactive contacts (contacts that do not open or click your emails) can be detrimental to your email deliverability and sender reputation.

This can put you at risk of being flagged for spam and can result in more emails landing in your recipients' spam folder.

How will you define inactive contacts?

Our engineering team is focused on the precise technical definition for inactive contacts and we will update you once we have the explicit definition and timing of the feature in place.

Will you be opting out my contacts as a result?

We will not be unsubscribing your contacts.

Contacts that are marked as inactive will be excluded from your email sends to keep your sending reputation high.

What am I supposed to do with my inactive contacts?

We are working on capabilities to help you safely re-engage and reconfirm opt-in status with your inactive contacts.
