Before you Begin: Connect Your Twilio Account

Before you send your first SMS, you’ll need to connect your Twilio account — this powers your SMS delivery.

• If you haven’t connected your Twilio account yet, follow this guide to get started.
  
  
• You’ll also need to set up a phone number in Twilio for sending SMS.

Step 1: Go to SMS Campaigns

1. Log into your Kajabi dashboard.
   
   
2. Navigate to Marketing in the left-hand menu.
   
   
3. Click on SMS Campaigns:

Step 2: Create a New SMS Broadcast

Once your Twilio account is connected and your phone number is ready:

1. Click New SMS Broadcast.
   
   
2. Fill out the following details:
   
   
   • Campaign Name: Give your broadcast a recognisable name.
     
     
   • Message: Write your SMS message. Keep it clear, concise, and actionable.
     
     
   • Linking (optional): Include any shortened URLs or links to your Kajabi pages or offers.

Step 3: Choose Recipients and Schedule

1. In the Recipients & Schedule section:
   
   
   • Select the segment of SMS subscribers you want to send to.
     
     
   • This works just like email campaigns in Kajabi.
     
     
   • You can use existing segments or create a custom segment based on:
     
     
     • Contact details
       
       
     • Tags
       
       
     • Email or product activity
       
       
     • Events
       
       
     • Custom fields, and more.
       
       
2. Choose when to send your SMS:
   
   
   • Send Now: Immediately starts the send process.
     
     
   • Schedule for Later: Pick a specific date and time:

Step 4: Send Your Broadcast

Once you’ve set everything up:

• Review your campaign.
  
  
• Click Send Now (top right corner).

Your SMS campaign will now begin sending through Twilio’s carrier network.

Understanding SMS Sending Status

Once sent, your SMS campaign will move through different states:

• Sending: Your SMS is being processed by carriers.
  
  
• Sent: It has successfully reached the carrier networks.
  
  
• Failed: There was an issue delivering the message.
