Learn to update your Product and Page themes to fix bugs and to update or add any new features.

Website Theme
Update the theme for your Website to change the overall appearance and editing capabilities of your Standard Website Pages and update for bug fixes and added features.
The best way to update your website is by installing the same theme template you are currently using.
If your original page is built with a legacy theme, your data will not automatically transfer onto your website pages built with the Website Builder and conversely, pages built with the Website Builder will not automatically transfer onto pages built with a legacy theme.
With access to the newly streamlined templates, featuring rich editing capabilities available with the Website Builder, we recommend customizing your new website pages with the Website Builder.
Step 1. Install your template
First, select your desired template:
- Open the Website tab from your Dashboard.
- Click Manage Themes.
- Select Pick a Theme.
- Click your desired template.
- Then, click Get Started:

Now that you have installed the new Website Builder, customize your standard website pages to best fit your brand and business:
- Next to the newly installed template, click the color palette icon to Customize.
- Navigate to the sidebar and open Settings to configure your global page settings.
- Then, add, remove, and customize the Sections in your new theme according to your branding and design vision for your standard website pages. Be sure to click Save before moving onto your next website page.
- Navigate through your standard website pages to customize with the website builder by using the bottom left dropdown menu:
Step 3. Activate your template
Each Website template can be customized independently of each other. The activated template will be the only template visible to your visitors.
This allows you to design your website behind-the-scenes and launch with an all-new, completed look.
After customizing your newly updated website, activate your template to launch your new look:
- Return to your list of installed templates.
- Click the

menu next to your new template. - Select Activate:
Product Theme
Update your Product theme for bug fixes and added features.
Updating your Product Theme will automatically import your Product content to your new theme when activated.
Step 1. Install your theme
- Open the Product tab from the Dashboard.
- Select the Product you wish to customize.
- Click Customize.
- Select Pick a Theme and install a new theme:

Now that a fresh theme is installed, customize your newly updated Theme Settings according to your brand:
- Next to the newly installed theme, click the color palette icon to Customize.
- Navigate to the sidebar and open Settings:
If the installed theme template is visually different from the old theme, customize your new design to best fit your business and brand.
Step 3. Activate your theme
After customizing your newly updated theme, activate your theme:
- Return to your list of installed themes.
- Click the

Page Theme
The best way to update an existing landing page theme is by installing the same theme template you are currently using.
If your original page is built with a legacy theme, your data will not automatically transfer onto landing pages built with Kajabi Pages and conversely, pages built with Kajabi Pages will not automatically transfer into pages built with a legacy theme.

Step 1. Create a new page
- Open the Website tab from the Dashboard.
- Click Pages.
- Navigate to the top right corner of the page and click + New Page to install your new theme:
Step 2. Copy your page settings
With a fresh Theme installed, transfer the settings from your old Page to the freshly installed Theme:
- Return to your list of Pages.
- Click the

menu next to the old Page. - Select Edit Code.
- Open the Config folder.
- Then, copy the entire contents of the settings_data.json file:
Step 3. Transfer your settings
Now that you have the settings copied, you will paste it into the same file of your new Page:
- Return to your list of Pages.
- Click the

menu next to the new Page. - Select Edit Code.
- Paste the copied settings_data.json file over the code in the new Page.
- Then, click Preview to ensure that your data has transferred properly.
