Cart Abandonment Emails allow you to automatically send a follow-up email after a potential customer fills out a form upon checkout but doesn't complete their purchase. Learn to activate and customize the Cart Abandonment Email.

Activate your cart abandonment email
To activate the Cart Abandonment Email:
- From your Dashboard, click Products.
- Then, select Offers.
- There, select an existing Offer or create a new one to edit.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Offer edit page to activate your Cart Abandonment Email.
- In the dropdown menu, select the number of hours after the potential customer abandons the cart to receive the Cart Abandonment Email.
- Click Save to keep your changes.
- Click the Edit reminder email template link to customize it.
- Then, select Cart Abandonment.
- Click Save to keep your changes:
Note: Due to the transactional nature of the Cart Abandonment Email, your customers will receive the Cart Abandonment Email from the Kajabi server, "@t.kajabimail.net." When is the cart abandonment email sent?
New Checkout Template
- When an existing Member logs into their account, selects an Offer with the Cart Abandonment Email activated, and does not complete the purchase.
Legacy Checkout Template
- When an existing Member does not complete a checkout sequence.
- When a new potential user enters their email address but does not complete the checkout sequence.
When is the cart abandonment email not sent?
New Checkout Template
- If your potential customer does not have an existing account.
- If the Cart Abandonment Email is not set up for the Offer clicked.
- If the Offer clicked is a Free Offer.
- If your member abandons multiple carts in a row, then only one email will be sent.
- If your member abandons checkout and then completes a sale before the email is sent, then the email won't be sent.
- If an Upsell is abandoned the Cart Abandonment Email will not be sent.
Legacy Checkout Template
- If a potential customer does not enter their email address before abandoning the cart.
- If a potential customer creates more than one abandoned checkout in a row, then only one email will be sent to that potential customer.
- If a potential customer creates one or more abandoned checkouts and then completes a sale before the recovery email gets sent, then the email won't be sent.
- If an Upsell is abandoned the Cart Abandonment Email will not be sent.
