Selling access to webinars
Webinars can be a powerful tool for reaching your audience in real-time. And with Kajabi, you can connect an Event and Offers to sell access to your Webinar!
With this guide, you will learn to create an Event on Kajabi to correspond with the date and time of your Webinar, build a confirmation page to communicate instructions to your customers, and set up your Offer to collect payment to attend your event.
Step 1. Create an event
First, set up your Event. Your event will reflect the date and time of your Webinar.
To create an event:
- Open the Marketing tab from your Dashboard.
- Click Events.
- Click + New Event.
- Title your Event.
- Select your Event date and time.
Note: Events can be scheduled up to one year in advance - Select your Time zone.
- Configure the Event as a one-time occurrence or recurring.
- Click Save to begin customizing your Event:
After creating your Event, set up your Event emails to include the link to your Webinar:
Step 2. Create a confirmation page
After setting up your Event, create a confirmation page. The confirmation page will be used to communicate to your customers that the instructions for joining your webinar can be found in their email inboxes.

Step 3. Create an Offer
Now that you have set up your event, created your confirmation page, it is now time to build your Offer and put the pieces together.
With your Offer you will create a Ghost Offer (i.e., an Offer without a Product) and create Automations to register purchasers of your Offer to your Event and send them to your confirmation page.
This will ensure that the customers purchasing the Offer will receive the emails associated with your Event and receive instructions on how to locate your emails.
To create a Ghost Offer:
- Open the Sales tab from your Dashboard.
- Select Offers.
- Then, click + New Offer.
- Enter a Title for your Ghost Offer.
- Leave the Select your product field empty.
Be sure your Offer is not connected to a Product. - Then, enter your Payment type and Price and click Create (note: you can edit your price further within the Offer builder):
Step 4. Connect the event and your page to your offer
After setting up the basic information for your Offer, create your Automations to connect your Event and your confirmation page to your newly created Offer.
Create automation to register customers to the event:
- Open the Sales tab from your Dashboard.
- Select your newly created Ghost Offer.
- Navigate to the Automations card.
- Click +Add Automation.
- In the THEN field, select Register to an event.
- In the newly generated field below "Register to an event", select your Event.
- Then, click Save to keep and apply your changes:
Choose where to send customers after their Offer purchase:
- Open the Sales tab from your Dashboard.
- Select your newly created Ghost Offer.
- Navigate to the Post-purchase card.
- In the Post-purchase dropdown menu, select Existing Landing Page.
- In the Landing page dropdown menu, select the confirmation page created in Step 2.
- Navigate to the top-right corner of your editor to click Save:
Congratulations! You have completed the set up for selling access to a Webinar. We recommend editing your Offer checkout page and any additional settings you may want to customize.
