As you get started with the Kajabi new affiliate experience, there’s a one-time activity to mark existing transactions as paid that you’ll use to tidy up any outstanding commissions from before the new feature was enabled on your account. This article walks you through what this does, why it matters, and how to execute it safely.
What Mark Existing Transactions as Paid Does
Follow these steps in your Kajabi admin to mark your existing affiliate transactions as paid:
Applies a Paid status to all existing transactions. A paid status is applied to all existing transactions that currently don’t have a status
Only for tracking purposes. This action does not send any money from your account, if any of these existing affiliate transactions are owed to affiliates make sure you pay them out. You can do this either before or after this action.
Note: Once you confirm, these transactions are permanently marked paid. You cannot revert them to unpaid status.
Why You’d Mark Existing Transactions as Paid
When you begin using the new affiliate feature, any existing transactions that existed before will not have a status. You can set their status as paid which will:
You simplify future reporting. All your commission data will accurately reflect which transactions were paid.
You stay organized. Helps you better track past transactions
You preserve historical integrity. This action only affects those existing transactions and new transactions follow the updated workflow.
How to use “Mark as Paid”
Follow these steps in your Kajabi admin to mark your existing affiliate transactions as paid:
Navigate to the Affiliate Feature From the main sidebar, click Sales → Affiliates.
Navigate to Transactions Tab
Click ‘Set up payment schedule’
Set the ‘Commission is due after’ setting and click Confirm
A banner will appear on the page, click Get Started on the banner
You will be presented the option to Mark as Paid or leave transactions as is
Important Considerations
One-Time Action: Only perform this step once for all legacy transactions. New affiliate sales won’t require this.
Irreversible: Double-check your selections—once marked, you cannot undo it.
Impact Scope: Only transactions created before the new feature activation will be affected. Any transactions thereafter follow the regular affiliate status workflow.
