Set up your Kajabi Amplify profile and run promotions

Earn revenue by featuring curated experts in your email broadcasts, or grow by getting featured in others'.

Updated today

BETA: This feature is currently in a Closed Beta and is being tested by a select group of Kajabi users. If you have questions or concerns about this feature please don't hesitate in reaching out to support@kajabi.com

There are two core actions to accomplish in Amplify:

1. Create a profile: Set up a Publisher profile to monetize your email list, a Sponsor profile to promote your Products in other Heroes' Email Broadcasts, or create profiles for both to maximize your connections.

2. Run promotions: Publishers or Sponsors can send a promotion request. Once accepted, the Publisher adds a Sponsored block via the Email Broadcast editor, which automatically pulls in the agreed-upon ad copy. The Publisher can customize (fonts, colors, placement) to match their brand and gets paid after the email is sent.

Publishers

Publishers monetize their email list by featuring sponsored content from other experts. Before setting up your profile, make sure you have:

  • An active Kajabi account with at least one connected site

  • At least 1K email list subscribers on the site you want to connect

Set up your Publisher profile

  1. Go to Amplify and select Publisher from the role selection screen.

  2. Choose which Kajabi site you want to connect. If you have multiple sites, select the one whose audience you'd like to monetize.

  3. Fill out your Publisher profile. Sponsors will see this when deciding whether to work with you:

    • Business name: Pre-filled from your site

    • Owner name: Pre-filled from your site

    • Bio: Pre-filled from your site

    • Niche: Choose from categories like Health & Fitness or Business & Marketing

  4. Next, set your pricing. Your email stats are pulled in automatically. These include total subscribers, largest send size, median send size, and email broadcast count over the last 180 days for email broadcasts delivered to over 1K subscribers. Configure the following:

    • Audience size: The number of subscribers you'll send ads to (cannot exceed your actual subscriber count)

    • Send fee: What you charge per sponsored send

    • Recommended fee: Based on your last 180 days of email broadcast data – we display a recommended fee based on your audience size, your CTR at that audience size, industry standard conversion rates, and a target return for the sponsor. This is purely a recommendation, and you know your audience best and should set your fee as you desire.

    • You'll also see a Projected Annual Revenue Estimate based on your fee and the estimated # of promotions you might run.

  5. Preview your profile to confirm how it appears to Sponsors, then click Create Profile & Continue to Home.

Note: Amplify takes 20% as a commission fee.

Note: You can set up a Sponsor profile at any time after creating your Publisher profile. You can also create a Publisher profile for each site in your Kajabi account.

Connect a Stripe Account

Connect a Stripe account to accept promotion requests and receive payouts.

  1. Go to Settings > Account.

  2. Locate the Stripe Account card.

  3. Follow the prompts to complete Stripe Connect onboarding.

Once connected, the card displays your connection status, including whether charges and payouts are enabled. You can return to this card at any time to update or reconnect your Stripe account.

Important: You cannot accept or approve promotion requests until your Stripe account is connected.

Sponsors

Sponsors pay to promote their products in other experts' email broadcasts. Before setting up, have the following ready:

  • An active Kajabi account

  • Your ad copy: a headline, description, and destination URL

  • A per-send budget in mind

Set up your Sponsor profile

  1. Go to Amplify and select Sponsor from the role selection screen.

  2. Optionally import your profile information from a Kajabi site, or fill everything in manually:

    • Business name

    • Owner name

    • Bio

    • Niche

  3. Create your first campaign:

    • Headline: The main attention-grabber. Lead with the outcomes you provide.

    • Body: 2–3 sentences describing what you're offering, who it's for, and why it's credible or urgent.

    • Call to action: Button text (defaults to "Learn More"). A short action phrase displayed on a Button i.e. 'Learn More’. Being specific on what happens when they click will convert better. e.g. 'Save your free seat', 'Watch the full system'.

    • Destination URL: Where people go when they click your ad

    • Max budget per send: The most you're willing to pay for a single sponsored send. Helps us recommend publishers in your price range. You can still request any publisher regardless of price.

  4. Preview your Sponsor profile and ad, then click Create Profile & Continue to Home.

The promotion lifecycle

  1. Request sent: Either a Sponsor or a Publisher can send a promotion request.

  2. Recipient reviews: The recipient can approve the request, suggest ad copy changes, or cancel.

    1. Ad copy changes are requested (optional): The Publisher or Sponsor can suggest ad copy changes to better suit their audience. The other party can accept or suggest their own. This back-and-forth continues until both sides align.

  3. Sponsor pays: Once approved, a Stripe invoice is generated that the Sponsor pays, and the ad copy is finalized for the promotion.

  4. Publisher runs the promotion: When you're ready to run an approved promotion, you can navigate to the Email Broadcast editor and add a Sponsored block. You can customize the block to match your email's look and feel such as the colors, fonts, size, placement.

  5. Publisher gets paid: Payout is issued through Stripe 14 days after the promotion is sent.

You can track each step from the activity timeline on your Amplify dashboard.

Track promotion performance

Once a promotion is live, you can see Opens and Clicks from the promotion detail view.

Amplify also automatically appends UTM parameters to the destination URL, so Sponsors can track performance in their own analytics tools:

  • utm_source=kajabi_amplify

  • utm_medium=email

  • utm_campaign=[AmplifyPromotionRequestID]

    • This is the ID visible on the Amplify URL for the promotion you are running

Available email notifications

Amplify emails both parties at each stage of the lifecycle, including when:

  • A promotion request is sent

  • Ad copy changes are requested

  • A promotion is approved and it's time for the Sponsor to pay

  • Payment is completed and it's time for the Publisher to run the promotion

  • The promotion has been sent and performance reports are available

  • The Publisher receives their payout

Cancel a request

Either party can cancel a request at any time. If a promotion is cancelled after payment and before the email is sent, the Sponsor is automatically refunded.

Note: If the promotion has already been sent, email amplifypayments@kajabi.com to request a refund.

Manage your settings

Both Publishers and Sponsors can update their profile and campaign information at any time from Settings.

Website and social media links are pulled in automatically from your site's brand settings, but can be updated anytime in Settings. These appear on your profile so other experts can learn more about you and confirm you're a good fit.
