So, Lightning Broadcast makes sending of broadcasts 2,400 times faster? How does that work?

Black email magic. Just kidding... Prior to Lightning Broadcast, emails would pass through our mail provider one message at a time, which gave us the opportunity to increase its efficiency.

Lightning Broadcast means we can now "bundle" Email Broadcast messages into batches of 1,000.

So, instead of passing emails to our mail provider individually, we can pass them in big bundles.

For example, for a broadcast sent to 5107 recipients, instead of passing 5107 individual messages to our mail provider, Lightning Broadcast means that we now pass just 6 bundles (5 * 1,000 + 1 * 7).

This results in significant efficiency gains.

What this means for you is that your Email Broadcasts are even better for lists of all sizes, from small to very large.

Are all my emails delivered super fast now?

Since the volume of emails from broadcasts is the highest (sequences and other sources usually only generate "one-off" emails), the speed optimizations we've done are currently limited to Email Broadcasts.

Does the faster delivery impact the open rate, categorization as spam, bounce rate, etc.?

Lightning Broadcasts change the way your emails are delivered to our mail provider. This means that your email performance metrics should not be impacted by Lightning Broadcasts.
