How to Set Up a Donation Button on Your Kajabi Page

Adding a donation button to your Non-Profit Kajabi Page is an excellent and accessible approach to drawing new donors. Follow our guide to create and embed a PayPal donation button onto a Landing Page in your Site.

Step 1. Register with PayPal as a non-profit organization

To accept donations as a non-profit on Kajabi, you first need to confirm non-profit status with PayPal. To do so, click the link below to follow PayPal's tutorial on how to confirm your status as a non-profit:

Be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Evidence of nonprofit registration with any applicable regulatory body, such as Articles of Incorporation, IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter, or documentation of candidacy.
  • A pre-printed bank statement or voided check from your account. Starter checks are not acceptable. The organization needs to own each bank account linked to this PayPal account. You can't use a personal bank account.
  • Information about how you intend to use the money (such as donations or membership fees).
    Your mission statement (if applicable).
  • A subordination or fundraising letter (if applicable).

Step 2. Create a donation button in PayPal

Note:
PayPal's donation button is one third-party application option, however, there may be others. We recommend researching the tools that work best for your business. If your preferred third-party application uses an embed code, to add it to your site you can apply your embed code with the instructions below.

Step 3. Create a new page for donations

First, create a new Landing Page:

  • Open the Website tab from the Dashboard.
  • Click Pages.
  • Then, select the Landing tab.
  • Navigate to the top right corner of the page and click + New Landing Page.
  • Select the template that fits best with your vision.
  • Click Get Started.
  • Enter your Page Title.
    This title will reflect in the Page URL in your site visitor's browser.
  • Click Create to generate your new Page:

Step 4. Embed the checkout code into the page

Warning:
Introducing custom code to your site can open you up to vulnerabilities and potential malware attacks. We recommend using vulnerability tools like VirusTotal or Snyk to scan any custom code that you intend to use and apply certain best practices to help reduce potential impact.

To add a Custom Code Block:

  • Click the Section you want to edit or create a new Section.
  • In the sidebar, click Add Content.
  • From the list, select Custom Code.
  • Your newly created Custom Code Block will generate at the bottom of the Section.
  • Click Save to keep your changes:

Then, enter your PayPal Donation Button Embed Code:

  • In your Page, hover over the existing Custom Code Block you want to edit and click Edit.
  • In the Code field, paste a copied embed code or enter your custom code.
  • Click Save to keep your changes:

Disclaimer:
