Checkout Language Overrides let you change the text that appears on your checkout pages, including field labels, button copy, and error messages, without touching any code. Use this to match your brand voice or make your checkout feel more consistent with the rest of your site. Overrides are managed from a dedicated tab in your Checkout Settings and apply across all checkout surfaces: Enhanced Checkout, Pop-up Checkout, Cart, Legacy Checkout, and Invoice Checkout. Coverage varies slightly by surface and is noted in each section below. Language and text direction settings are managed separately. Learn how to change your site language.
Beta: This feature is being rolled out gradually. If you don’t see the Language Overrides setting yet, it will be enabled for your account soon.

Access Language Overrides

  1. From your Kajabi dashboard, go to Settings.
  2. Within the Payment Settings section click Checkout.
  3. Select the Language overrides tab.

Find a field

Each row shows the field name, the default text for your site’s selected language, and a text input for your custom override. Use the tools at the top of the table to narrow down what you see.

Search by field name or default text

  1. Click the Search by “field” bar at the top of the table.
  2. Type any word to filter by field name or default text.
Note: Search does not look at the Custom text override column. If you search for text you’ve already entered as an override, it won’t return results.

Filter by category

  1. Click the All dropdown at the top left of the table.
  2. Select a category to view only those fields, such as Customer information, Payment, or Coupons.

Show only overridden fields

  1. Click Filter at the top right of the table.
  2. Select Overridden to show only fields that have a custom override applied, or All to return to the full list.

Edit a field

  1. Locate the field you want to change.
  2. Click into the Custom text override input for that field.
  3. Type your custom text. The default text appears as placeholder text so you always know what you’re replacing.
  4. Click Save. Changes apply immediately across all supported checkout surfaces.
To reset a field to its default, clear the input and click Save.

Before you begin

  • Overrides apply globally to all offers on your site. There is no per-offer override setting.
  • If you previously used Kajabi’s legacy translation override settings, your existing overrides are carried over automatically.
  • Overrides only affect checkout pages. Email templates, member-facing pages, course content, and your admin dashboard are not affected.
  • Not every field applies to every checkout surface. Each field table below includes a column for each surface so you can see exactly where a field is supported.
  • If site language is changed, the default column will reflect the site language selected.
  • If you have overrides applied when changing your site default language, your overrides will be preserved
