Kajabi Cart is your streamlined path to flexible, modern checkouts that help increase sales and improve your customer experience. With Add to Cart buttons and a seamless multi-offer checkout, it’s easy to set up a store-like experience right inside your Kajabi site.

Customize your Kajabi Cart

Before enabling Cart on your pages, configure your Cart settings. This ensures your checkout looks and functions the way you want it to. To customize Kajabi Cart:
  1. Open the Sales tab from your Dashboard.
  2. Select Cart.
  3. Customize each section, then click Save. Save buttons are available at both the top and bottom of the page.

Cart appearance

Style the buttons in both the Cart and Checkout views. Use the tabs above the preview to switch between them.
  • Solid button background: Select the color of the button background from your site color palette, or enter a custom hex/RGB color.
  • Button label: Set the color and custom text to display on your CTA button (for example, “Checkout,” “Join Now,” or “Add Offer”). Use this to communicate to your users what the button will do.
  • Button outline: Adjust the border color.
  • Button border radius: Round the button edges from square to fully rounded.
When picking colors:
  • Click the pre-selected color swatch next to the field you want to update.
  • Use the color wheel to pick a custom color or enter an RGB code.
  • The vertical bar lets you select the hue.
  • The square box lets you select the brightness.
  • The horizontal bar lets you select the opacity.

Payment providers

Select the payment options that will be available on your Cart checkout page.
Payment Processor settings at the Cart level will override any processor settings configured at the Offer level. To avoid confusion, make sure your Cart settings reflect the processor you want to use at checkout.

Sales tax

If you are using Kajabi Payments’ Sales Tax tool:
  • Check Include tax in offer’s price if you want tax to be inclusive in the offer price. If left unchecked, all cart orders will be tax-exclusive, and tax will be added on top of the price at checkout.
  • This setting overrides individual offer tax settings and applies to all cart orders.
Learn more about charging tax with Kajabi Payments.

Customer fields

Choose which fields you want to collect from customers at checkout.
  • Name (optional)
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Address (optional) — when enabled, you can choose:
    • Use customer’s geolocation — Detects the customer’s location via IP and uses it as the default country.
    • Set default country at checkout — Pick a specific country to appear by default, regardless of geolocation.
  • Email address is always required and cannot be deselected.
Important: If your cart is taxable (you’re using Kajabi Payments Sales Tax), the Address field will appear at checkout even if you leave it unchecked here, so that tax can be calculated accurately.

Service agreement

Allow customers to consent to the Terms and Conditions policy for your business.
  • Not required
  • Default service agreement
  • Custom — Enter your own service agreement text.

Post-purchase

Choose where to send customers after their purchase.
  • Post-purchase page — Choose one of:
    • Existing Landing Page: Search and select any published landing page. This option supports skipping account creation.
    • Member’s Product Library: Send customers directly to their library after purchase. This option is not available if Skip account creation is enabled.
  • Skip account creation page: When enabled, new customers bypass the account creation page after purchase.
  • Send welcome email to new customers: Recommended. Sends the default welcome email so customers can access their account and library.
  • Post-purchase email: Choose a communication preference for members who make a Cart purchase.
    • Use offer email settings: When enabled, each purchased offer’s email settings will be used (overrides the options below).
    • Otherwise, pick one:
      • Default email: Uses Kajabi’s default post-purchase email template.
      • Custom email: Enter your own subject line and content.
      • None: No post-purchase email is sent.

Set up Kajabi Cart on your Website and Landing Pages

Now that you’ve configured your Cart settings, enable Cart on your pages so customers can start checking out.

1. Update your Website and Landing Page themes

Kajabi Cart is supported on Encore Site 1.7.0 and Encore Page 2.7.0 or above. To enable Cart or use the Add to Cart buttons on your existing pages, first update to the latest theme versions.
Learn how to update your website and landing page themes.
Tip: Want to test Cart without changing your current pages? Create a new storefront or standalone landing pages using the latest themes. This is a great way to try Cart for a limited-time promotion before making sitewide changes.

2. Enable Cart in the page header

Turn on the Cart icon so customers can view their cart and check out at any time. Cart can be enabled on both Website Pages and Landing Pages — you can mix and match across your site. To enable Cart on a page:
  1. From your Dashboard, click Website.
  2. Select either the Website Pages or Landing Pages tab.
  3. Open the page editor for your page. Learn more.
  4. Click the Header section.
  5. Under Shopping Cart, toggle Enable Cart on.
  6. Click Save to keep your changes.
While you’re in the Header section, you can also customize how the header (and the Cart icon within it) appears:
  • Position: Normal places the header above your page content. Overlay places the header on top of the first section.
  • Enable Sticky Header: When on, the header (including the Cart icon) stays visible as customers scroll. You can also customize Sticky Text Color and Sticky Background Color.
Customers will always access their cart from the header — there is no separate “floating” cart option. Learn more about customizing your website header.

3. Add “Add to Cart” buttons to your pages

Add to Cart buttons let customers select multiple offers and check out in one transaction. They can be placed anywhere you use a CTA block. Use Offer Blocks, Pricing Card Blocks, or Call to Action Blocks to let customers shop freely and purchase multiple offers in one checkout. Learn how to add a Call to Action block to your website and landing pages. To create an Add to Cart button:
  1. From your Dashboard, click Website.
  2. Select either the Website Pages or Landing Pages tab.
  3. Open the page editor for your page.
  4. Click the section you want to edit, or create a new section.
  5. In the sidebar, click Add Content.
  6. Choose any block that contains a Call to Action — for example, the Offer Block, Call to Action Block, or Pricing Card.
  7. Your new block will appear at the bottom of the section.
  8. Under Button Action, select Add to Cart and choose the associated offer.
  9. Customize the text to display in your CTA button.
  10. Click Save.

Cart rules and restrictions

A few things to know about how Cart works:
  • Compatible offer types — One-time payment offers can be added to a cart freely. Subscriptions and payment plans can also be added, but only one recurring offer is allowed per cart, and it must be the only item. If a customer tries to add a second item to a cart that already contains a subscription or payment plan (or add a subscription to a cart that has other items), they’ll see: “cannot be added to a cart that already contains an item.”
  • Sold-out, draft, or expired offers can’t be added to a cart. If an offer becomes unavailable after being added, it’s automatically removed from the customer’s cart on their next visit.
  • Quantity limits — If an Offer has quantity limits enabled, the cart shows an “Items remaining” message when stock is low and blocks customers from adding more than the available quantity.
  • Cart can only be checked out once. After a successful checkout, the same cart cannot be used again.
  • Custom thank-you pages are no longer supported in Cart settings. Post-purchase redirects must use either an Existing Landing Page or the Member’s Product Library.

Best practices for Cart

Optimize the page header

Make sure your site header is visible across all devices. Hiding the header on desktop or mobile can create friction and make it harder for customers to find their cart. For the best experience:
  • Keep the header visible on both desktop and mobile views.
  • Enable Sticky Header so the header (and Cart icon) stays at the top of the screen as customers scroll.
  • Enable Cart on every published Website and Landing Page so customers can access their cart from anywhere in their journey.

Choose the right block type for Add to Cart buttons

There are several ways to incorporate Add to Cart buttons. Here are the most common patterns: Pricing Card Blocks — Great for showcasing multiple CTAs or price comparisons. The secondary CTA can link to an Offer Details Page or open a modal with more information about the offer, helping customers stay on the page while exploring details. Learn how to add a Pricing Card Block. Offer Blocks — A clean, simple way to display cart-enabled offers. Add the title, description, and price so customers can easily understand what they’re purchasing before clicking Add to Cart. Learn how to add an Offer Block. Call to Action Blocks — Use this block in custom sections for maximum layout flexibility. Great for storefront-style displays or bundled experiences. Learn how to add a custom section.
Important: No matter which block you use, display the price clearly. Prices are included by default in Offer and Pricing Card Blocks, but if you’re using custom sections or CTA blocks, add the price manually so customers know exactly what they’re adding to their cart.

Build an offer details page

An Add to Cart button makes it easy for customers to take action, but they still need to feel confident in what they’re buying before they click. Make sure you’re clearly answering the essentials somewhere on the page:
  • What is the offer?
  • Why should they buy it?
  • How much does it cost?
You can present this information directly in your site blocks (like Offer Blocks or Pricing Cards), or create a dedicated offer details page to go deeper. A well-crafted offer details page can:
  • Share in-depth information about the offer.
  • Highlight testimonials, FAQs, or bonus content.
  • Suggest related offers for bundling.
  • Let customers add to cart and continue browsing without interruption.
This approach mirrors a traditional e-commerce experience and often leads to stronger conversions.
