Drip content in Courses

Updated this week

The drip status on a course module allows you to release content a specific number of days after the customer purchases or is granted an offer containing your course (i.e., access start date).

A module will be locked until the day the content is released.

Dripping modules is a great way to release course content to your customers over time, rather than all at once.

Drip a module after a specific number of days

  • Go to Products > Courses and click on your course.

  • In your course outline, next to your module or submodule, click Drip in the status dropdown.

  • Enter the number of days in the Set drip days after enrollment.

    • Choose a day between 1 and 731 (2 years).

  • Click Done.

Example scenario

  • Customer purchases your offer on Sunday, June 1.

  • If your drip days is set to 7, this means your module would release on Sunday, June 8.

Customize the access start date

By default, the access start date for your course is when the customer purchased or was granted the offer containing your course.

You can customize the access start date to a specific date for each offer or for a specific customer.

Set start date in an offer

  • Go to Sales > Offers and click on the offer.

  • In the Product Access section, check the box Begin access at a specific date.

  • Set the date to begin access.

  • Click Save.

Note:

Keep in mind that changing the access start date in an offer will impact future purchases only. Customers that have purchased the offer before your update will not be affected by this change.

Set start date for a customer

To set the access start date for a specific customer, see How to change a customer's start date.
