Find out where and how your customers can update their payment information so you may guide them through the process, or simply send your customers the link to this tutorial.
Note:
The Billing Info tab will not display if the customer was granted the Offer, if the customer purchased your Offer with PayPal, or if the active subscription was processed through a payment processor that has been detached (i.e., a detached Stripe or PayPal account).
If your customer has purchased recurring subscription Offers with Stripe and PayPal, the customer can update their billing information for Stripe and manage their subscription from their PayPal account. If the payment processor was detached, you must manage your customers' card information in Kajabi or Stripe.
Update the card on file
Customers must first log into their account on your site in order to update their card on file.
After logging in, click on the Customer Avatar in the top right corner of the page.
Then, select Settings from the dropdown.
Click Billing Info in the top right corner of the page.
Click Update next to the currently listed credit card.
Complete the prompt steps to enter the updated card information.
Then, click Update Card to apply and keep the changes:
Note:
The User Menu block must be included in the Library page design if you wish to allow your customers to update their information on their own. If the User Menu is not included, customers must reach out to the owner of the site to update their information.
After a card is updated
After your customer updates their credit card information, the next payment will charge their new card. However, the updated card details will not immediately appear in your dashboard. The updated information will reflect only after the first successful transaction using the new card.
No further steps are required to maintain Product Progress or continue their payments after they update their card.
If the subscription is cancelled, the customer must re-purchase the offer. On the other hand, paused subscriptions require reactivation actions in Stripe or PayPal.
However, if a subscription was previously cancelled, the customer will need to re-purchase the offer to reactivate. For paused subscriptions, reactivation needs to be initiated via the payment processor.
Your customers can also view and download their purchase receipts.
How to remove your customer's card from their account
Manage your customer's profile and open More Actions to remove their stored credit card from their account.
Warning: Removing their stored credit card information will permanently remove their credit card from their account on your site.
