Offer Plans overview

Add Plans to an Offer with Enhanced Checkout, give each its own pricing options and products, and share direct checkout links.

Offer Plans let you divide a single Offer into multiple Plans, such as Silver and Gold. Each Plan has its own pricing options and can include its own products. Customers pick a Plan and a way to pay right in the checkout, so you can sell several tiers of access without creating separate Offers.

A Plan isn't limited to one way of paying. It can mix one-time, payment plan, and subscription pricing options, so customers can choose how they pay within the same Plan.

Beta: Offer Plans are in beta, and everything in this article is subject to change. If Offer Plans are enabled for your account and you run into issues, please contact [email protected]. If you don't have access yet, join the waitlist.

Coming soon: Letting customers upgrade or downgrade between your Plans from their Customer Account is a separate feature, and it isn't available yet. Join the waitlist to be notified when it ships.

To use Offer Plans, your Offer needs to:

  • Have a price (Plans aren't available on free Offers or on "Let customers pay what they want" Offers)

  • Use a percentage affiliate commission rather than a flat rate, if it has one

The Add plan button is disabled if any of these apply, with the explanation shown on hover. Each Offer can have up to 6 Plans.

Note: If hovering over a button shows "This offer is being updated. This will be available shortly," Kajabi is finishing an update to your Offer in the background. Try again in a few minutes. If you still see this after an extended amount of time, contact [email protected].

Create a Plan

There are two ways to expand what you sell in an Offer, and which one you want depends on your goal. Add a new Plan when you want to offer different products or access, like a Silver tier and a separate Gold tier. Add a pricing option to an existing Plan when you want to offer a different way to pay for the same access, for example, monthly instead of yearly, or a payment plan instead of paying in full.

Add a Plan to an Offer

  1. From the Dashboard, click Sales, then Pricing.

  2. Select the Offer you want to add Plans to.

  3. Go to Price Details.

  4. Click Add plan.

  5. Fill in the Plan's details:

    1. Name (optional): shown to customers in checkout. An internal "Unnamed plan" name is assigned if none is given, so you can tell your Plans apart in your admin; customers never see this placeholder, and in checkout an unnamed Plan just shows no name.

    2. Color (optional): adds a colored accent to the Plan's card in checkout. It's a quick way to make your Plans look distinct and polished.

    3. Label (optional): a short badge on the colored band, such as "Recommended."

    4. Pricing options: add at least one so the Plan has something to sell.

    5. Additional products (optional): extra products just for this Plan, on top of your Offer-wide products.

  6. Click Create.

  7. Repeat for each Plan you want to sell.

Note: If your Offer currently has a single price, creating your first Plan turns that price into a pricing option.

Tip: From your Offers list, use the Plans filter and choose Has plans to quickly find the Offers that already use Plans.

Add a pricing option to an existing Plan

  1. In Price Details, find the Plan and click Add pricing option.

  2. Choose the payment type: one-time, payment plan, or subscription.

  3. Enter the price and billing details. For subscriptions, you can also add a setup fee or a free trial.

  4. Under Plan, confirm the Plan this pricing option should appear in.

  5. Click Save.

Keep in mind:

  • Payment type is locked after a pricing option is created. To use a different type, create a new pricing option, and you may remove the previously locked payment type afterwards.

  • Currency can't be changed while the Offer has pricing options.

  • Only Plans with pricing options show in checkout.

Checkout settings for Plans

Once an Offer has more than one pricing option, a few more settings appear in Price Details:

  • Show product list in checkout: adds a "What's included" list of each Plan's products to its checkout card. This is off by default.

  • Preselected pricing option: this is the option selected by default at checkout, and the price used when the Offer appears in upsells and order bumps. Choose No preselected option to leave it unset. This doesn't add a "Recommended" badge, that's what a Plan's label is for.

  • Checkout preview: shows how your Plans will look in checkout before you save.

  • Reorder: drag a Plan to change the order it appears in checkout. You need at least 2 Plans to reorder.

Note: With only one Plan and one pricing option, checkout shows just the price. Plan names and labels appear once you have more than one Plan.

Share a link to a specific pricing option

You can send customers to checkout with a specific pricing option already selected. This is only available once the Offer has 2 or more pricing options.

  1. In Price Details, open the menu on a pricing option and click Get link. You can also click Get link on the Offer in your Offers list.

  2. Under Preselected pricing option (optional), choose the option customers should see selected, or leave it on Offer default.

  3. Optionally turn on Show only this pricing option to hide every other option in checkout.

  4. Click Copy.

You can do the same with a button on your landing or sales page: choose a preselected pricing option, and optionally turn on Show only this pricing option.

Product access for a Plan

Every customer gets your Offer-wide products, no matter which Plan they buy. Plan products are extras on top.

  • Offer-wide products are always included in every Plan. You edit these in the Offer's details, not in the Plan.

  • Plan products are additive. Only customers who buy that Plan receive them.

For example, your Offer includes Core Course as an Offer-wide product. The Gold Plan adds Coaching Vault on top. A Silver customer gets Core Course. A Gold customer gets Core Course and Coaching Vault.

Note: Manually granting or adding a purchase for an Offer with Plans only grants the Offer-wide products. It doesn't grant any Plan's additional products.

Changing products on a Plan that already has customers

If you add or remove a Plan product and the Plan already has customers, you'll see a Confirm product access screen before your change is saved. It shows how many members are on the Plan and asks what should happen to them.

When you add a product:

  • Give this product to existing members: will give the newly added product to current and future customers of this Plan.

  • Don't give this product to any existing members: will only give access to future customers of this Plan.

When you remove a product:

  • Keep access for existing members: current customers will keep the product. Future customers will not receive it.

  • Remove access for existing members: will remove access from current customers.

Warning: Giving or removing access for existing members can't be undone.

Edit or delete a Plan

To edit a Plan, click the edit icon on the Plan in Price Details, make your changes, and click Save.

To delete a Plan, open it and click Delete plan. Before you confirm, you'll see what else will change:

  • The Plan's pricing options are deleted too.

  • Any automations set up with those pricing options are set to Draft.

  • Any upsells using those pricing options switch to the first available pricing option.

  • If the Plan holds the Offer's preselected pricing option, that setting is turned off.

  • If the Plan holds the Offer's only pricing options, all other Plans are deleted too.

Coming soon: subscription plan changes
