AI Discoverability helps buyers find you when they research in AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Muse, and Grok. AI Discoverability will start giving them a clean, accurate view of your public pages and offers, so they describe you correctly.
AI Discoverability will be turned on by default as of November 9th, 2026, so there is nothing to set up. You can turn it off at any time from your site settings.

What AI Discoverability shares
AI Discoverability only shares content that anyone can already see on your public website:
Website Pages and Landing Pages, including your home, about, contact, and store pages
Blog posts
Public Podcasts and their episodes
Newsletter posts, limited to the part anyone can read without subscribing
Your business name and support email
Content AI Discoverability never shares
Course lessons, Community posts, and anything else inside the member area
Pages that require a login or a password
Draft, unpublished, or scheduled pages and Blog posts
Private Podcasts
Paid or subscriber-only Newsletter content
Your contacts, customers, members, and sales data
Note: Landing Pages set to hide from search engines, and pages that are steps inside a Funnel, are left out of the list of pages Kajabi gives to AI assistants.
How AI Discoverability works
When AI Discoverability is on, Kajabi does three things for your site:
Publishes a site summary for AI assistants. A file at
/llms.txton your domain lists your website pages, sales pages with their prices, your Landing Pages, your 25 most recent blog posts, and your support email. AI assistants use this file as a map of your site.Provides a clean text version of each public page. When an AI assistant asks for a page, Kajabi can send the page as plain text, so the assistant reads your actual content instead of guessing from the page layout.
Updates your site's robots.txt file. The robots.txt file tells automated crawlers what they may do on your site. With AI Discoverability on, it welcomes AI search assistants, asks AI companies' training crawlers to stay out, and keeps every crawler out of the member area.
This works the same way on a custom domain and on a mykajabi.com address.
Tip: AI assistants use the Title and Description of each Sales Page and Landing Page to describe what you sell. A clear, specific page description helps them describe your Offers accurately.
FAQs
Does Kajabi use my content to train AI models?
No. Kajabi does not train AI models on your site content. When AI Discoverability is on, the robots.txt file on your site also asks AI companies' training crawlers, such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot, not to collect your content.
Does turning off AI Discoverability block AI bots from my site?
No. Turning AI Discoverability off stops Kajabi from publishing the AI-ready versions of your content, and returns your robots.txt file to the standard version, which allows all crawlers. Is a page hidden from search engines private?
No. Kajabi leaves Landing Pages that are hidden from search engines off the list of pages it gives to AI assistants, but anyone with the link, including an AI tool, can still open the page. To keep content private, add it to a Product so only members who log in can see it.
Does AI Discoverability affect my search engine rankings?
AI Discoverability does not change your sitemap or how search engines like Google crawl and index your site.
How long does it take for new data to update for AI search?
AI assistants work from the version of your site they last read, so a recent price change may take time to appear in their answers. Your Sales Pages always show the current price.
If I turn AI Discoverability off, will AI assistants forget my content?
No. This setting controls one thing, and it helps to keep that thing separate from your website itself.
What this setting controls: the summary of your site that Kajabi prepares for AI assistants, plus a clean text version of each public page. Turning the setting off takes that summary and those text versions down. AI assistants stop getting your content from Kajabi in that ready-made format.
Your website itself: your public pages live on the open internet. An AI assistant can visit and read them, the same way any person can. That stays true whether this setting is on or off.
So an assistant may still talk about your business after you turn the setting off, using your public pages or information it picked up on an earlier visit.
