How to Customize Your Community Email Notifications
Add your branding and customize your business information when your community members receive email notifications about your Community. Choose which types of email notifications your members will and won't receive.

Email controls
Manage your members’ email notifications to notify them about their Channels, Challenges, Meetups, Live Rooms, and Announcements.
To enable or disable each type of member email notifications:
- Open your Community.
- Click Settings:
- Select Email Notifications.
- On the “Email controls” tab, click each toggle on or off as desired to enable or disable notification emails for Channels, Challenges, Meetups, Live Rooms, Announcements, and the Weekly Digest. A black toggle means that a setting is on, and a gray toggle means that a setting is off:
When you toggle on email notifications for a Community feature, you’ll see additional settings options giving you more granular control over which types of notifications to enable or disable within that feature.
Channels
For Channels, enable or disable email notifications for:
- Channel Message Replies. Members will be notified when they get a reply to their Channel message.
- Direct Message. Members will be notified when they receive a direct message.
- Channel Message Mention. Members will be notified when they get mentioned in a Channel.
Challenge
For Challenges, enable or disable email notifications for:
- Challenge ends (admins). Admins will be notified when a Challenge has ended.
- Comment. Members will be notified for new Challenge comments.
- Comment mentions. Members will be notified when they are mentioned in a Challenge.
- Hype ups. Members will be notified when they get a Hype up in a Challenge.
Meetups
For Meetups, enable or disable email notifications for:
- 1 day before. Members will be notified 1 day before a meetup is scheduled to begin.
- 1 hour before. Members will be notified 1 hour before a meetup is scheduled to begin.
- When it starts. Members will be notified the moment a Meetup starts.
- Meetup Created. Members will be notified when a new Meetup is created.
- Meetup Rescheduled. Members will be notified when a Meetup is rescheduled.
- Meetup Cancelled. Members will be notified when a Meetup is cancelled.
Live Room
For Live Room, enable or disable email notifications for:
- When it starts (admins). Admins will be notified the moment a Live room starts.
- Recording is available (admins). Admins will be notified the moment a Live room recording is available.
- Recording is available (members). Members will be notified the moment a Live room recording is available.
Announcements
For Announcements, enable or disable email notifications for:
- New global announcement. Members will be notified when there's a new global announcement.
- New Channel announcement. Members will be notified when there's a new Channel announcement.
Weekly Digest
For Weekly Digest, enable or disable email notifications to include the following content in your weekly digest:
- Announcements. Weekly digest includes current announcements.
- Challenges to complete. Weekly digest includes challenges to complete.
- Community stats. Weekly digest includes community stats.
- Popular conversations. Weekly digest includes popular conversations.
- Upcoming meetups. Weekly digest includes upcoming meetups.
To enable or disable the granular email notification settings:
- Use the checkbox to the left of each email notification setting to turn it on or off. A black checkbox means that a setting is on and a white checkbox means that a setting is off.
- When you're done adjusting your settings, click Save to apply your changes.

Email customization
Select the “Email Customization” tab in your Email Notifications settings to update the branding and footer information that appears on your Community email notifications:
Branding
Customize the look and feel of your email notifications to match your branding by adding a logo, accent color, and font color:

Update the information shown on your email’s footer, including your company address, company name, and any other links you would like to include (e.g., support link, privacy policy, terms and conditions, etc.):
