From your Email Campaigns page, you can view reports for your Email Broadcasts, Email Sequences, and Event Emails.

You can also view a report for individual emails within your Sequences. These reports provide necessary metrics that will help you master your email campaigns.

Follow along to gain a better understanding of the individual metrics that live inside of a report.

Note:
Email sequences provide email metrics for the overall sequence and the individual emails within the sequence. Analytics are available for all Event emails sent after August 21, 2023.

Email campaign metrics

Sent

This metric represents the number of contacts you selected to send your email broadcast to under "recipients." In Email Sequences, Sent is the number of subscribers who were sent the email.

Delivered

The number of emails that were Delivered to contacts or, more technically, "accepted" by their email service provider. Learn more about Delivery and Deliverability in the Sender Reputation Guide

Opened

An email is considered Opened when it has been delivered and viewed by the recipient.

Clicked

If someone clicks on any of the links in your email, then that email is considered Clicked.

Note:
Click tracking excludes clicks from the "View in Browser" button in an email campaign.

Hard Bounced

An email is considered Hard Bounced when an email to a recipient permanently fails. This can occur if the email address no longer exists, if the email address is invalid, or if the domain doesn't exist.

Because we know how important it is for your content to reach your subscribers' inboxes, Kajabi helps you manage your hard bounced contacts and improve your email deliverability by automating the process of unsubscribing your Bounced Emails. Learn more about How Auto Unsubscribe Helps You Maintain a Healthy Mailing List.

Although Kajabi helps you maintain a healthy mailing list, it is always a best practice to occasionally clean up your list by removing inactive contacts to optimize your Email Deliverability. Read How to Delete Bounced Email Addresses and Email List Hygiene for more details.

Unsubscribed

When a recipient clicks on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of an email, the recipient is immediately Unsubscribed. Once unsubscribed, the contact will no longer receive any marketing emails.

Customers

A Customer is a contact that has purchased or been granted an Offer. This number represents all recipients of the email who purchased an Offer or were granted a free Offer within seven days of clicking a link to your Kajabi site in the email.

Net Revenue

Net Revenue is the amount of money earned after refunds and/or discounts have been removed from the total revenue. The Net Revenue shown is what you made from recipients who purchased a paid offer within seven days of clicking a link to your Kajabi site in the email.

Note:
The "Customers" stat and Net Revenue are attributed to the email that includes the last Kajabi site link that the recipient clicked before purchasing an Offer or being granted an Offer within seven days.

Example 1:

Day 1 - Recipients clicks a link to your Kajabi landing page in email #1.

Day 2 - Recipient clicks a link to your Kajabi checkout page in email #2.

Day 7 - Recipient purchases the Offer via your Kajabi checkout page.

Result: Customers and Net Revenue are attributed to email #2 only.

Example 2:

Day 1 - Recipient clicks a link to your Kajabi landing page in email #1.

Day 2 - Recipient clicks a link to your Kajabi checkout page in email #2.

Day 10 - Recipient purchases the Offer via your Kajabi checkout page.

Result: Customers and Net Revenue are not attributed to any email.

Customers and Net Revenue do not include:

  • Links that are not to your Kajabi site.
  • Links that are shortened via URL shorteners.
  • Customers who receive the email via one email, and then purchase an Offer or are granted an Offer via another email.

You will see this data for Broadcasts, Sequences, individual emails in a Sequence, and Event Emails that were sent after January 8, 2023.

Customers and Net Revenue values are updated roughly once an hour.

Locate your contact's Subscription Status in the Contacts tab.

View email campaign metrics for all recipients

Your email campaign metrics page allows you to view individual recipients and their actions for your email campaign.

Under All Recipients view recipients by:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Actions (i.e. opened, clicked)
  • Last Activity (date and time of last action):

Want to see more information about an individual recipient? Click their name from your recipient list.

Deleted contacts

If a deleted contact received an email campaign prior to their deletion, they will remain in your list of recipients for your email campaign metrics to ensure accurate record keeping.

However, deleted contacts cannot be clicked as their Contact Profile has been removed from your Contacts tab.

Identify your deleted contacts from your email campaign recipients list by the "[Deleted Contact]" identifier in the name column:

Dropped

An email is considered Dropped if it was not able to be sent at the prescribed time. This can be the result of an email suspension or a previously-known undeliverable address:

Complained

Complained occurs when an email recipient clicks on the spam complaint button within their email client and is automatically unsubscribed:

Email statuses

Draft

The email is saved as a draft, and has not been scheduled or sent.

Scheduled

The email(s) will be sent at a future time. For example, the event email will be sent 1 day before the event, which is happening in the future. Or, the email broadcast is scheduled to be sent on a future date.

Active

Some event emails, or some individual emails in a sequence, have been sent, while others will be sent in the future. For example, the event email will be sent at the time of registration. Some contacts have already registered for the event and have already received the email. Contacts who register tomorrow will receive the event email tomorrow.

Sent

All emails have been sent. For example, the email broadcast was already sent. Or, all emails in the sequence have been sent, and no individual emails will continue to be sent.

Filter by email status

You can filter by Email status in any tab: All, Broadcasts, Sequences, and Events.

This helps you find a specific email faster, or compare email metrics across emails of the same status.
