Update existing Affiliate Transactions as Paid

Updated today

Overview

As you get started with the new Kajabi Affiliate experience, there’s a one-time activity to mark existing transactions as paid that you can use to tidy up any outstanding commissions from before the feature was enabled on your account. This article walks you through what this does, why it matters, and how to execute it safely.

When you begin using the new Affiliates feature, any existing Affiliate Transactions do not have a status. You can set their Status as Paid, which:

  • Simplifies future reporting. All your commission data will accurately reflect which transactions were paid.

  • Helps you stay organized by better tracking past transactions.

  • Helps you preserve historical integrity. This action only affects existing transactions, and new transactions follow an updated workflow.

Notes:

This Paid status change is done only for tracking purposes, and does not send any money from your account to affiliates. If money is owed for any of these transactions, make sure you pay them out either before or after this action.

Once you confirm, these transactions are permanently marked Paid. You cannot revert them to Unpaid status.

How to mark Affiliate Transactions as Paid

Follow these steps:

  • From your Dashboard sidebar, select Sales > Affiliates.

  • Select the Transactions tab.

  • Click Set up payment schedule.

  • Set the Commission is due after setting and click Confirm.

  • A banner will appear on the page. Click Get Started on the banner.

  • Select the option to Mark as Paid.

Important:
This is a one-time action. Only perform this step once for all legacy transactions. New affiliate sales won’t require this.

This is irreversible. Double-check your selections—once marked, you cannot undo them.

Only transactions created before the new Affiliates feature activation will be affected. Any transactions thereafter follow the regular affiliate status workflow.
