Meetup times in your Kajabi Community automatically convert to each member’s local timezone based on their device settings. Members in different timezones will each see the Meetup displayed in their own local time.
Note: The Meetup time is determined by the timezone set on the member’s device or browser, not their Kajabi account timezone settings.

How Meetup times are displayed

When a Hero creates a Meetup, the scheduled time is set in the Hero’s local timezone. Kajabi automatically converts this time for each member based on their device’s timezone settings. No manual adjustment is needed by the Hero or the member.

Troubleshoot incorrect Meetup times

If a member sees the wrong time for a Meetup, check the following:
  • Device timezone is incorrect. The member’s device timezone may not be set correctly. Ask them to check their device timezone settings and update if needed.
  • Browser timezone differs from device timezone. Some browsers use their own timezone settings. Ask the member to check their browser settings or try a different browser.
  • Daylight saving time. If the Meetup was scheduled around a daylight saving time change, the displayed time may shift by one hour. Verify the Meetup time after any daylight saving time transitions.

Can I set a specific timezone for a Meetup?

No. Meetup times are automatically converted to each member’s local timezone based on their device settings. You cannot manually set a specific timezone for a Meetup — the time you enter when creating the Meetup is based on your own device’s timezone.

Do Meetup reminder emails also convert to the member’s timezone?

Yes. Reminder emails sent before a Meetup display the time in the recipient’s local timezone, consistent with how the time appears in the Community.
