Additional fees
The following fees can apply regardless of which payment method your customer uses. You’ll only be charged for the ones relevant to your transaction.
Kajabi Sales Tax
With Kajabi Sales Tax, you only pay for what you use. The fee is calculated for every successful transaction on an Offer where sales tax is enabled, regardless of whether sales tax is charged or not. This fee covers the verification, calculation, and tracking of all transactions on a taxable offer.
| Fee type | Rate |
|---|
| Kajabi Sales Tax | + $0.20 AUD per transaction |
Invoicing
This fee applies when a payment is processed through Kajabi Invoicing, in addition to the base processing rate for the payment method used.
| Fee type | Rate |
|---|
| Kajabi Invoicing | + 0.4% per invoice |
Disputes
If a dispute (also called a chargeback) occurs with one of your customers, their issuing bank will deduct the disputed amount from Kajabi, along with the associated dispute fee for the payment method. The total amount, including the dispute fee, will be deducted from your Kajabi Payments Balance.
If your Kajabi Payments balance cannot cover the disputed amount, it will be deducted from the bank account linked to your Kajabi Payments account. Learn more about payment disputes.
| Fee type | Rate |
|---|
| Disputes | $25.00 AUD per disputed transaction |
Note: The dispute fee will not be refunded even if the dispute is eventually resolved in your favor. There is no evidence submission process for ACH payments and the dispute outcome is final.
Currency conversion
A 2% fee applies when currency conversion is performed. This fee is included in the exchange rate so you will not see this as an explicit fee.
| Fee type | Rate |
|---|
| Currency conversion | + 2% |
Instant Payouts
Instant payouts give you on-demand access to your available Kajabi Payments funds, any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. It’s an optional feature that runs alongside your regular payout schedule, which stays the same. An additional fee applies each time you request an instant payout. Learn more.
| Fee type | Rate |
|---|
| Instant Payout | 1.5% |
Refunds
There are no fees to refund a charge. However, the fees from the original charge will not be returned.
FAQs
When is an international fee applied?
The international card fee only applies when the card used by the buyer is issued in a different country from where your business is located. This is often called a cross-border fee.
When would I be charged a subscription or payment plan fee?
The recurring billing fee only applies to recurring transactions, such as subscriptions and payment plans. This fee applies to all transactions related to the subscription or payment plans, including the initial and subsequent transactions.
When does the currency conversion fee get applied?
The currency conversion fee only applies if the Offer is set to a currency different from your bank’s settlement currency. For example, if you are an Australian-based business and your bank settles in AUD, a currency conversion fee would apply if you set your offer’s currency to anything other than AUD.
Where can I see these fees?
All fees are assessed and deducted at the time of the transaction. You can view the details of the fees for each transaction with Kajabi Payments included in your payout via the Payouts Page or your customer’s Purchase Information Page.
Will refunding transactions mean that my customer cannot raise a dispute?
Proactively issuing a refund is the most effective way to prevent disputes. Although disputes may occasionally still arise, you’ll have the opportunity to present evidence that the transaction has already been refunded for the dispute to be reversed in your favor.
Can I do a refund after a dispute has been raised to avoid the dispute fee?
Once a cardholder initiates a dispute, it is no longer possible to avoid the fee as the customer is now seeking reimbursement directly from their financial institution and not direct remediation from you.
