What is the difference between single coupon codes, bulk coupon codes, and single-use coupon codes?

  • Single coupon codes allow you to create a coupon code with your branded language that anyone can use for your applied Offer(s).
For example, create a summer promotion with the coupon code SUMMER25 to give 25% off to anyone that applies the coupon code SUMMER25 during checkout.

  • Bulk codes auto-generate your specified number of unique, one-of-a-kind codes to share with your audience. Each code created from the bulk code generator is a single-use code that can only be used for a single purchase.
With Bulk codes you can randomly generate multiple, single-use coupon codes. Single-use coupon codes are different from single coupon codes because after the coupon is applied once, the coupon becomes invalid.

Single coupon code

Create a single custom coupon code to provide your customers with a discount for your Offer(s).

With a single coupon configure the:

  • Coupon code - create a custom code to fit your business and promotion.
  • Discount type - the percentage or amount off for the coupon's discount.
  • Duration - the number of times the coupon code can be used for a customer subscription and/or multiple payments.
  • Expiration date - set an expiration date for your coupon discount.

For example, if you want to give a 50% off discount for a summer promotion, you can create a Single Coupon Code called Summer50 for specific Offer(s) that can be applied by anyone with the Summer50 coupon code.

Then, you can choose to set a duration to discount future payments.

This allows the discount amount to be applied to your customers' future payments if the Offer is a subscription or multiple payment Offer.

Example:

If a customer applies your Summer50 discount code to a multiple payment Offer set to pay a total of $100 over a period of 5 payments (i.e., $20 for each payment), your customer with their discount code will pay $10 for each payment.

And if you want the coupon to expire after the conclusion of your summer promotion, set the expiration date for the end of your summer promotion period.

This will ensure that the discount code cannot be applied to a new Offer purchase after your specified expiration date.

Note:
If you choose to apply a Multi-month coupon to a weekly subscription Offer, your coupon will discount all payments within your specified duration. For example, if you set up a Multi-month coupon to last for the duration of 4 months and you apply it to a weekly subscription your customer applying the coupon will have 16 weekly payments discounted within the 4 months.

To create a single coupon code:

  • Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard.
  • Select Coupons.
  • Click + New Coupon to create a new coupon.
  • Select Single Coupon as the Coupon Type.
  • Then, simply enter your Coupon Code (example: Summer25), choose the Discount type, the Duration, and the Expiration Date.
  • Click Continue.
  • Be sure to select the Offer the coupon can be applied to by clicking Add Offer:

After you have included an Offer with the coupon you will see a Discount link button. Copy and share your Discount link with your customers.

Bulk codes

Bulk codes are great for special promotions or deals on your offers.

Just as with Single Coupon Codes, Bulk Codes can be set up for either an amount or a percentage off.

However, instead of going through the process of creating 100 individual, single coupon codes, Kajabi will auto-generate your specified number of unique, one-of-a-kind codes.

The coupon bundle will also track and monitor code usage which makes it a great solution for selling individual "licenses" to organizations.

For example, if you wanted to create a pack of 100 unique, individual coupon codes, you can use Bulk codes to generate 100 unique codes to share.

To create bulk coupon codes:

  • Open the Sales tab from the Dashboard.
  • Select Coupons.
  • Click + New Coupon to create a new coupon.
  • Select Bulk Codes
  • Then, choose the coupon name, the discount type, and the amount of unique codes you'd like to generate.
  • Click Continue.
  • Be sure to select the Offer the coupon can be applied to by clicking Add Offer:

After creating your Bulk Coupon Codes you can copy or export the individual coupon codes to share with your customers!

Single-use coupon code automation
