Log in to a Kajabi account

Reset a password, set up 2FA, and fix login errors as a Kajabi account owner or account user.

Your Kajabi account login gets you into app.kajabi.com, where you run your Kajabi site(s).

Use this article to log in and get back in when a password, a two-factor authentication (2FA) code, or a verification email is blocking you.

To keep your account safe, or if someone else got into it, see Protect a Kajabi account. If you're a customer of a Kajabi site, you log in on that site instead. See Log in to a Kajabi site.

Log in at the Kajabi login page

To log in to your Kajabi account:

  1. Go to the Kajabi login page (app.kajabi.com/login).

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Enter your password.

  4. If you want to stay logged in on this browser, select Remember me.

  5. Click Sign in.

Kajabi login page with Email address and Password fields, the Remember me checkbox, the Sign in button, and the Continue with Google button.

  6. If 2FA is on, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app or text message.

Verify Your Identity screen asking for the 6-digit code from a text message, with the Remember this device for 30 days checkbox, the Continue button, and the Resend, Try another method, and Reset code options.

  7. If you don't want to enter a 2FA code on this device for the next 30 days, select Remember this device for 30 days.

  8. Click Continue.

You're now logged in to your Kajabi account.

One Kajabi account login works for every site in the account. Account users see only the sites they have access to.

An email address can belong to only one Kajabi account. If you want to run a second Kajabi account, use a different email address or an alias like [email protected].

Reset or change a password

To reset a forgotten Kajabi account password:

  1. Go to the Kajabi password reset page, or click Forgot your password? on the Kajabi login page.

  2. Enter your account email address.

  3. Click Reset Password.

Kajabi Reset your password page with an Email field and the Reset Password button.

  4. Open the email with the subject line Instructions to reset your Kajabi password, and click the reset link within 6 hours. A page opens in your browser.

  5. Enter your new password in both fields.

Kajabi Change your password page with New password and Confirm new password fields and the Change my password button.

  6. Click Change my password.

  7. Go back to the Kajabi login page and log in with your new password.

Your password is now changed. Resetting it doesn't log you in, so you'll need to log in with the new password.

Each new reset request cancels the previous link. If you use an old or expired link, the page still opens, but you see an error after you click Change my password (see "Error messages" on this page).

Tip:

We recommend deleting older password reset emails before you request a new one, so you always click the link in the newest email.

Password reset email didn't arrive

If the Kajabi account password reset email didn't arrive, try these steps:

  • Check your spam, junk, and promotions folders.

  • Search your inbox for the subject line Instructions to reset your Kajabi password.

  • Enter your email address on the password reset page again, in case of a typo.

  • Try a different email address. To find which email address your account uses, search each of your inboxes for "Kajabi".

Note:

After you click Reset Password, the page shows If your email address exists in our database, you will receive a password recovery link at your email address in a few minutes. You see this message even if no account uses that email address, so it doesn't confirm that you have an account.

Change a password while logged in

To change your Kajabi account password while you're logged in:

  1. Go to Account Settings > Sign In & Security. You can also click your name in the top-right corner and select Account Settings > Sign In & Security.

  2. Click Change password in the Password section.

Password section of Sign In & Security showing when the password was last changed and the Change password button.

  3. Enter your Current password, your New password, and the new password again in Verify password.

  4. Click Change password.

Your password is now changed, and you get an email with the subject line Your Kajabi user password has been updated.

Warning:

If you get the Your Kajabi user password has been updated email and you didn't change your password, follow the steps in "Resolve a compromised login" in Protect a Kajabi account right away.

Password strength, reuse, and expiry rules

Kajabi account passwords follow these rules:

  • A new password needs at least 10 characters, with at least 1 uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, and special character (such as !?$). This applies any time a password is set: when you change, reset, or create one, or when you add an account user.

  • You can't reuse any of your last 5 passwords. If you try, you see an error message (see "Error messages" on this page).

  • A password expires after a certain amount of time after you last changed it. During the last 30 days before your password expires, you see a warning banner with an Update password button.

  • The Kajabi team can also expire a password for security reasons. Once a password expires, you can't log in with it, and you get an email with a reset link instead.

Set up Google sign-in

Google sign-in lets you log in to your Kajabi account with a Google account instead of a password. Google is the only social sign-in option.

Connect Google to an account

To connect Google sign-in to your Kajabi account, first log in with your email and password, then:

  1. Click Connect to Google in the Social Accounts section.

Sign In & Security page with an arrow pointing to the Connect to Google button in the Social Accounts section.

  2. Enter your password in the pop-up.

  3. Click Confirm.

  4. Select the Google account to connect in the Google window.

From then on, you can log in with Google using the steps in "Log in with Google" on this page. If the Connect to Google button is grayed out, or you see an error when you connect Google, see "Error messages" on this page.

Log in with Google

To log in to your Kajabi account with a connected Google account:

  1. Click Continue with Google.

Kajabi login page with an arrow pointing to the Continue with Google button.

  2. Select the connected Google account in the Google window.

  3. If 2FA is on, enter your 2FA code.

You're now logged in to your Kajabi account.

Create a password if you only use Google

If you've only ever logged in to your Kajabi account with Google, you don't have a password yet. You'll need one to disconnect Google sign-in or to change or disable 2FA.

To create a password:

  1. Click Create password in the Password section.

  2. In the Create a password pop-up, enter your password in Create password and again in Confirm password.

  3. Click Create password.

You can now log in with your email and password, or with Google.

Disconnect Google from an account

To disconnect Google sign-in from your Kajabi account, you need a password. If you've only logged in with Google, create one first using the steps in "Create a password if you only use Google" on this page. Then:

  1. Click Disconnect next to Google in the Social Accounts section.

  2. Enter your password in the pop-up.

  3. Click Confirm.

You see Social account has been successfully disconnected, and you now log in with your email and password.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a code after your password each time you log in, so someone who learns your password still can't get into your account. Kajabi also calls 2FA multi-factor authentication (MFA). 2FA is for account owners and account users, not customers of Kajabi sites.

You can get 2FA codes in two ways:

  • An authenticator app on your phone makes a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds. It works in every country.

  • A text message (SMS) from Kajabi sends a 6-digit code to your phone. SMS isn't available in every country. If it isn't available in yours, use an authenticator app.

These authenticator apps are free:

Note:

Kajabi doesn't send 2FA login codes by email. Use an authenticator app or text message.

When Kajabi requires 2FA

We recommend 2FA for everyone. Kajabi requires 2FA for every account owner and user in these cases:

  • Kajabi Payments is turned on for any site in the account.

  • You're a Kajabi Partner and you've sent a Client Link request to a client. 2FA is then required for every user on your own Kajabi account, but not when you work in the client's account through Client Link.

  • Kajabi has set 2FA as required for the account.

When 2FA is required, you see these changes:

  • Accounts that use Kajabi Payments see Multi-factor authentication is required for your account. Please enroll to continue.

  • Other accounts see the banner Mandatory 2FA enrollment required for your account. You must enroll now.

  • In Sign In & Security, the Disable button is replaced by Why can't I disable?, because required 2FA can't be turned off.

Set up 2FA

To set up 2FA on your Kajabi account:

  1. Click Set up 2FA in the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

Sign In & Security page with an arrow pointing to the Set up 2FA button in the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

  2. Click Log out and continue. Kajabi logs you out.

  3. Log in again. The 2FA setup screen opens.

  4. Select Google Authenticator or similar or SMS.

To finish setting up 2FA with an authenticator app:

  1. Download an authenticator app on your phone, if you don't have one.

  2. Scan the QR code on the setup screen with the authenticator app. If you can't scan the QR code, click Trouble Scanning? to get a code you can type into the app.

Secure Your Account screen with a QR code to scan with an authenticator app, the Trouble Scanning? button, a field for the one-time code, and the Continue button.

  3. Enter the 6-digit one-time code from the authenticator app on the setup screen.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. Save the recovery code Kajabi shows somewhere safe, such as a password manager.

2FA is now on.

One authenticator app can hold 2FA codes for several Kajabi accounts. Each Kajabi account shows as its own entry with its own code.

To finish setting up 2FA with SMS:

  1. Select your Country.

  2. Enter your Phone Number without the country code.

  3. Click Continue.

Secure Your Account screen for SMS 2FA with a country selector, a phone number field, and the Continue button.

  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the Kajabi text message on the setup screen, and click Continue. If no text message arrives, check the phone number and click Resend.

  5. Save the recovery code Kajabi shows somewhere safe.

  6. Select the I have safely recorded this code checkbox.

  7. Click Sign in.

2FA is now on.

Log in with a 2FA recovery code

If you lose your phone or authenticator app, you can log in with your 2FA recovery code:

  1. Enter your email and password on the Kajabi login page and click Sign in.

  2. On the 2FA code screen, open the recovery code option. If you use an authenticator app, click Use recovery code. If you use SMS, click Try another method, then select Recovery code.

  3. Enter your recovery code and click Sign in.

  4. Save the new recovery code Kajabi shows somewhere safe.

  5. Select the I have safely recorded this code checkbox.

  6. Click Sign in.

You're now logged in. Each recovery code works only once, so your old recovery code stops working and the new one replaces it.

Reset 2FA

If you lost access to your 2FA method and your recovery code, you can reset 2FA from the Kajabi login page:

  1. Enter your email and password on the Kajabi login page and click Sign in.

  2. Click Reset code on the 2FA code screen.

  3. Open the email with the subject line Your Kajabi verification code.

  4. Enter the 6-digit code from that email on the reset screen within 10 minutes, and click Verify.

  5. Log in again with your email and password on the login page.

  6. Select and set up a new 2FA method.

2FA is now on with your new method.

To prevent abuse, Kajabi limits 2FA resets from the login page. Keep these limits in mind:

  • Each code from the Your Kajabi verification code email works for 10 minutes, and you get 5 tries to enter it.

  • To get another code, click Resend code. You can request up to 3 new codes, 60 seconds apart (Resend code is grayed out until the wait is over). Each new code gives you 5 more tries.

  • If a code expires or you run out of tries, go back to the login page and start the reset again.

  • Starting more than 10 resets, entering more than 10 codes, or clicking Resend code more than 5 times, all within 15 minutes, blocks 2FA resets for up to 15 minutes. After that, start the reset again.

For the exact messages, see "Error messages" on this page.

2FA code doesn't arrive or doesn't work

If the 2FA text message doesn't arrive, try these steps:

  • Check that your phone number and country are correct.

  • Check that your phone has signal or a data connection.

  • Click Resend on the 2FA screen.

If the 2FA text message still doesn't arrive, log in with your recovery code using the steps in "Log in with a 2FA recovery code" on this page.

If the 2FA code from your authenticator app doesn't work, set your phone's date and time to update automatically. Authenticator app codes only work when your phone's clock is accurate.

Change or disable 2FA

To change or disable 2FA, you need a password. If you've only logged in with Google, create one first using the steps in "Create a password if you only use Google" on this page.

To change your 2FA method while you're logged in, for example when you get a new phone:

  1. Click Change in the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

Sign In & Security page with an arrow pointing to the Change link in the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

  2. Enter your password in the pop-up and click Confirm.

  3. Click Log out and continue. Kajabi logs you out.

  4. Log in again and set up the new 2FA method.

You can disable 2FA if your account doesn't require it. To disable 2FA:

  1. Click Disable in the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

Sign In & Security page with an arrow pointing to the Disable button in the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

  2. Enter your password in the pop-up and click Confirm.

2FA is now off, and your next login won't ask for a 2FA code. If you see Why can't I disable? instead of Disable, your account requires 2FA. See "When Kajabi requires 2FA" on this page.

Verify an account email address

New Kajabi accounts and new account users need to verify their email address. What you can do before you verify depends on how you joined:

  • If you signed up with a card, you can log in before you verify, but you can't send emails, add contacts, or connect payments until you verify.

  • If you signed up any other way, including as an account user, the login page shows You have to confirm your email address before continuing. until you verify.

To verify your account email address:

  1. Open the email with the subject line Confirmation instructions. If you don't see the email, check your spam, junk, and promotions folders too.

  2. Click Verify your email in that email within 24 hours. You see Your email address has been successfully confirmed.

  3. Wait for Kajabi to log you in automatically. If your account requires 2FA, Kajabi logs you out instead so you can set up 2FA at your next login.

If the confirmation link is more than 24 hours old or was already used, you see a message instead of the confirmation (see "Error messages" on this page).

Resend the verification email

To resend the account verification email:

  1. Enter your email address and click Resend confirmation instructions.

  2. Open the newest email with the subject line Confirmation instructions and click Verify your email.

The resend confirmation page doesn't restart the 24-hour deadline. If your first verification email is less than 24 hours old, the new link expires when the first one does. If it's older, you get a new link that works for 24 hours.

If you're already logged in, you can also click Resend email on the Verify your email address banner. The Resend email button always sends a new link that works for 24 hours, and it sends one email every 5 minutes at most.

Verify a new email address after changing it

When you change your email address in Account Settings, Kajabi sends an email with the subject line Confirmation instructions to the new address. The email change isn't complete until you click Verify your email in that email within 24 hours.

You don't need to turn off 2FA to change your email address.

Note:

Until you verify the new email address, you can keep logging in with your current account email address.

Verify an email after 30 days of inactivity

When you log in with your email and password after more than 30 days without logging in, and you don't have 2FA, Kajabi asks you to verify your email first. This inactivity check is separate from the first email verification.

To verify your email after 30 days of inactivity:

  1. Open the email with the subject line Please verify your email address on Kajabi.

  2. Click Verify my email in that email within 6 hours.

  3. Wait for Kajabi to log you in.

Kajabi opens the Dashboard and shows Email verification complete. If more than 6 hours have passed, the link has expired (see "Error messages" on this page).

Unblock an account

Kajabi blocks an account when it detects suspicious activity, such as suspicious login attempts, too many wrong passwords, or bot activity. When your account is blocked, you get an email with the subject line Account Blocked.

Note:

The Account Blocked email comes from a third-party service, not from a @kajabi.com address.

To unblock your account:

  1. Open the email with the subject line Account Blocked.

  2. Find the IP address in that email. The IP address is the network address of the device that tried to log in.

  3. Check that the IP address matches your own, using a site like whatismyipaddress.com.

  4. If the IP address matches, click UNBLOCK in the email. A confirmation page opens.

  5. Go to the Kajabi login page and log in.

Warning:

If the IP address in the Account Blocked email doesn't match yours, reset your password before you click UNBLOCK. A different IP address can mean someone else tried to log in to your account.

To avoid future account blocks, follow the habits in "Prevent unauthorized access" in Protect a Kajabi account.

Login page isn't working

If the Kajabi login page won't load or won't accept your login, try these steps in order. After each step, try logging in again.

  1. Turn off ad blockers and privacy extensions such as uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Ghostery, AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, or Brave's built-in filtering. If this works, add *.kajabi.com to the extension's allowlist.

  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies.

  3. Open an incognito or private window. If this works, a browser setting or extension may be blocking the login page.

  4. Turn off your virtual private network (VPN) or firewall. If this works, change your VPN or firewall settings to allow *.kajabi.com.

If none of these steps work, contact Kajabi Support.
