A sign-in link (sometimes called a “magic link”) logs you in to your Kajabi account without typing your password. You enter your account email address, Kajabi emails you a link, and clicking the link logs you in. Your password keeps working as before, so a sign-in link is an extra way in, not a replacement.
Sign-in links are for Account Owners and Account Users to log into Kajabi. Customers of a Kajabi-built site log in on that site instead. See log in to a Kajabi site as a member.
Request a sign-in link
To request a sign-in link:
Go to the Kajabi login page (app.kajabi.com/login).
Below Continue with Google, click Email me a sign-in link.
In the Email field, enter the email address on your Kajabi account.
Click Email me a sign-in link. The Check your email page opens.
You can also go straight to the Get a sign-in link page (app.kajabi.com/login/link). The Email me a sign-in link button isn't on the login screen of the Kajabi mobile app.
Note: The Check your email page shows the same message whether or not a Kajabi account uses the email address you entered. If no account uses that address, Kajabi doesn't send an email.
Log in from the sign-in link email
To log in with the link Kajabi sent you:
In your email inbox, open the email with the subject line Your Kajabi sign-in link.
In that email, click Sign in within 15 minutes.
If you're in the same browser where you requested the link, Kajabi logs you in right away. In any other browser or device, the Finish signing in page opens and shows the email address the link logs you in as. Click Sign in.
Each sign-in link works once and expires after 15 minutes.
If you haven't verified your account email address yet, the sign-in link first opens the Confirm your password page. Choose one:
Enter your password and click Confirm and continue. Kajabi logs you in and verifies your email address. Later sign-in links skip this page.
Click Set a new password if you don't know your password. Save the new password, which verifies your email address, then log in with it.
After 5 incorrect passwords, the link stops working, so request a new one.
If you're in the middle of changing your email address, verify the new address from the email Kajabi sent to it instead.
Switch to another account with a sign-in link
If your browser is already logged in to a different Kajabi account when you open a sign-in link, Kajabi asks before it switches. The Switch accounts? page shows the email address you're logged in as and the email address the sign-in link logs you in as.
To switch: Click Continue as followed by the sign-in link's email address.
To stay in the current account: Close the tab.
When sign-in links aren't available
Sign-in links don't work in these cases:
Two-factor authentication (2FA): If 2FA is on for your login, or Kajabi requires 2FA for your account, Kajabi doesn't send a sign-in link. Instead, you usually get an email with the subject line Sign in to Kajabi with your password. If a sign-in link still reaches you, for example because 2FA was turned on after you requested it, clicking it shows Your account uses multi-factor authentication, so sign-in links are not available. Sign in with your password. In either case, log in with your password.
Client Link access: A Kajabi Partner working in a client's account through Client Link can't use a sign-in link for that access.
Suspended logins: If an Account Owner suspended your Account User login, Kajabi doesn't send a sign-in link.
Expired passwords: If your password has expired (a Kajabi password expires 3 years after you last set it), Kajabi logs you back out after you click the sign-in link and shows Your password is expired, please check your email for reset instructions. Set a new password from the reset email, then log in.
Troubleshooting
Sign-in link email didn't arrive
If the sign-in link email doesn't arrive:
Check your spam or junk folder, and search your inbox for the subject line Your Kajabi sign-in link.
Check that you entered the exact email address on your Kajabi account.
Wait one minute before you request another link. Kajabi sends at most one sign-in link email per minute, so a second request within a minute shows the Check your email page but sends nothing. A link from an earlier email still works until it expires.
Check for an email with the subject line Sign in to Kajabi with your password. That email means your account uses 2FA, so log in with your password.
That sign-in link has expired or was already used
Cause: More than 15 minutes passed since Kajabi sent the link, or the link was already used to log in. Changing your account email address, or signing out of all devices, also cancels links Kajabi already sent.
Fix: Request a new sign-in link and click Sign in in the newest email right away.
We're receiving too many requests
Cause: Too many sign-in link requests came from your network in a short time or too many password attempts.
Fix: Wait 15 minutes, then request a sign-in link again.
FAQs
Can I use a sign-in link if I only log in with Google?
Yes. A sign-in link doesn't need a password, so it works for accounts that only log in with Google. Your Google sign-in keeps working too.
The sign-in link asks for a password I don't know. What should I do?
Click Set a new password. Kajabi opens the new-password form right away, without sending a reset email. Kajabi asks for your password once if your account email address isn't verified yet, to confirm you're the person who set up the account. If you signed up with Google or were invited as an account user and haven’t set a password, your account has one you never chose. Save a new password, which verifies your email address, then log in with it. You're logged out on your other devices, and later sign-in links log you in directly.
I got a sign-in link email I didn't ask for. What should I do?
Ignore it. Nobody can log in without clicking the link in that email, and the link expires after 15 minutes. If these emails keep arriving, someone may be entering your email address on the login page. Turning on 2FA stops Kajabi from sending sign-in links for your login. For more steps, see secure a Kajabi account after unauthorized access.
Can I turn sign-in links off?
Kajabi has no setting to turn sign-in links off. Kajabi only sends a sign-in link when someone requests one, and only to the email address on your account. To stop sign-in links for your login completely, turn on 2FA.
