Your Kajabi account login gets you into app.kajabi.com, where you run your sites and your team. Use this guide to get back in when a password, a two-factor authentication (2FA) code, or a verification email is blocking you, and to lock the account down if someone else got in.
Who this is for: Kajabi Heroes, meaning account owners and account users with any role. Customers of a Kajabi site log in on that site instead. For their login steps, and for fixing member login problems on your site, see log in to a Kajabi site as a member.
Log in at the Kajabi login page
To log in:
Go to the Kajabi login page (app.kajabi.com/login).
Enter your email address and password, then click Sign in.
If two-factor authentication (2FA) is on, enter the code from your authenticator app or text message.
Good to know:
One login, all sites: One Kajabi login covers every site in the account. Account users see only the sites they have access to.
One email per account: An email address can belong to only one Kajabi account. To run a second Kajabi account, use a different email address or an alias like
[email protected].
Reset or change an account password
To reset a forgotten password:
Go to the Kajabi password reset page, or click Forgot your password? on the Kajabi login page.
Enter your account email address and click Reset Password.
In your email inbox, open the email with the subject line Instructions to reset your Kajabi password.
In that email, click the reset link. A page opens in your browser.
On that page, enter and confirm a new password, then click Change my password.
Go back to the login page and log in with the new password. Kajabi doesn't log you in automatically.
The reset link works for 6 hours, and each new reset request cancels the previous link. If you use an old link, the page still opens, but Kajabi shows an error after you click Change my password:
Reset password token has expired, please request a new one means the link is more than 6 hours old.
Reset password token is invalid means the link was already used, or a newer reset request replaced it.
In either case, request a new password reset email and use the link in the newest email. Delete older reset emails first, so you always click the newest link.
Password reset email didn't arrive
If the reset email doesn't arrive:
Check your spam or junk folder, and search your inbox for the subject line Instructions to reset your Kajabi password.
Check the email address you entered for typos, then request the reset again.
Search each of your email inboxes for "Kajabi" to find which email address your account uses.
Note: After you click Reset Password, the page shows If your email address exists in our database, you will receive a password recovery link at your email address in a few minutes. This message appears even if no account uses that email.
Change a password while logged in
To change your password while you're logged in:
Go to Account Settings > Sign In & Security. Or click your name in the top-right corner, then Account Settings > Sign In & Security.
In the Password section, click Change password.
Enter your Current password, your New password, and the new password again in Verify password.
Click Change password.
You then get an email with the subject line Your Kajabi user password has been updated.
Warning: If you didn't make this change, follow the steps in "Secure an account after unauthorized access" on this page right away.
Password strength, reuse, and expiry rules
Kajabi account passwords follow these rules:
Strength: A new password needs at least 10 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (such as !?$). This rule applies whenever a new password is set, including when you change or reset your password, create a password, or add an account user.
No reuse: You can't reuse any of your last 5 passwords. If you try, Sign In & Security shows Password update failed. Password cannot be reused. and the password reset page shows Password was used previously.
Expiry: A password can expire if you haven't changed it in a long time. Kajabi shows a warning banner with an Update password button during the last 30 days before it expires. The Kajabi team may also expire a password for security reasons. When the password expires, Kajabi won't let you log in with it and emails you a reset link instead.
Account owners can make an account user reset their password in Settings > Manage Users. See Add and manage account users.
Set up Google sign-in
Google sign-in lets account owners and account users log in with a Google account instead of a password. Google is the only social sign-in option.
Connect Google to an account
To connect Google to your Kajabi account, first log in with your email and password, then:
In the Social Accounts section, click Connect to Google.
In the pop-up, enter your password and click Confirm.
In the Google window, choose the Google account to connect.
Note: If you see Contact the account owner to enable social sign in and the Connect to Google button is grayed out, Kajabi has turned off Google sign-in for your login. Log in with your password instead, or Contact Kajabi Support to turn Google sign-in back on.
Log in with Google
To log in with a connected Google account:
Go to the Kajabi login page.
Click Continue with Google.
In the Google window, choose the connected Google account.
If 2FA is on, enter your 2FA code.
Create a password if you only use Google
If you've only ever logged in with Google, you don't have a password yet. You need one to disconnect Google or to change or disable 2FA. To create one:
In the Password section, click Create password.
In the Create a password pop-up, enter your password in Create password and again in Confirm password.
Click Create password. You can now log in with your email and password, or with Google.
Disconnect Google from an account
To disconnect Google from your Kajabi account:
In the Social Accounts section, click Disconnect next to Google.
In the pop-up, enter your password and click Confirm. Kajabi shows Social account has been successfully disconnected.
Note: If you've never created a password, Kajabi shows Unable to disconnect Google. Create a password first, using the steps in "Create a password if you only use Google" on this page.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a code after your password each time you log in. Kajabi also calls it multi-factor authentication (MFA). 2FA is only for account owners and account users, not customers of Kajabi sites.
2FA offers two methods:
Authenticator app: An app on your phone makes a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds. It works in every country, even without phone signal.
Text message (SMS): Kajabi texts a 6-digit code to your phone. Text messages aren't available in all countries.
Free authenticator apps:
Note: Kajabi doesn't send 2FA login codes by email.
When Kajabi requires 2FA
2FA is strongly recommended for everyone. Kajabi requires it for every account user in these cases:
Kajabi Payments: Once Kajabi Payments is turned on for any site in the account.
Kajabi Partners: Once a Partner sends a Client Link request to a client, every user on the Partner's own Kajabi account must use 2FA. This doesn't apply to a Partner working in a client's account through Client Link — only to the Partner's own account.
Required by Kajabi: Kajabi can also require 2FA for an account.
When 2FA is required:
Accounts that use Kajabi Payments see Multi-factor authentication is required for your account. Please enroll to continue.
Other accounts see the banner Mandatory 2FA enrollment required for your account. You must enroll now.
In Sign In & Security, the Disable button is replaced by Why can't I disable?, because required 2FA can't be turned off.
Set up 2FA
To set up 2FA:
In the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section, click Set up 2FA.
Click Log out and continue. Kajabi logs you out.
Log in again. The 2FA setup screen opens.
Choose an authenticator app or SMS, then follow "Set up 2FA with an authenticator app" or "Set up 2FA with SMS" on this page.
Set up 2FA with an authenticator app
On the 2FA setup screen, choose the authenticator app option, then:
On your phone, download an authenticator app if you don't have one.
In the authenticator app, scan the QR code shown on the setup screen. If you can't scan it, click Trouble Scanning? on the setup screen to get a code you can type into the app.
On the setup screen, enter the 6-digit one-time code from the app and click Continue.
Kajabi shows a recovery code. Save it somewhere safe, such as a password manager.
From now on, Kajabi asks for a code from the authenticator app each time you log in.
Note: You can use a recovery code to log in to your Kajabi account if your lose access to your 2FA method.
Set up 2FA with SMS
On the 2FA setup screen, choose the SMS option, then:
Select your Country.
Enter your Phone Number without the country code and click Continue.
On your phone, open the text message from Kajabi. On the setup screen, enter the 6-digit code and click Continue. If no text arrives, check the number and click Resend.
Kajabi shows a recovery code. Save it, check I have safely recorded this code, and click Sign in.
Log in with a 2FA recovery code
Use your recovery code if you lose your phone or authenticator app:
On the Kajabi login page, enter your email and password and click Sign in.
On the 2FA code screen, click Use recovery code. On the text message screen, it may say Try another method.
If a list of methods appears, click Recovery code.
Enter your recovery code and click Sign in.
Kajabi shows a new recovery code. Save it, check I have safely recorded this code, and click Sign in.
Note: Each recovery code works only once. After you log in with it, that code stops working. Save the new recovery code Kajabi shows in step 5.
Reset 2FA from the login page
Reset 2FA if you lost both your 2FA device and your recovery code:
On the Kajabi login page, enter your email and password and click Sign in.
On the 2FA code screen, under Need to reset your verification?, click Reset code.
In your email inbox, open the email with the subject line Your Kajabi verification code.
Back on the reset screen, enter the 6-digit code from that email within 10 minutes and click Verify.
On the login page, log in again with your email and password.
Choose and set up a new 2FA method.
Resetting 2FA has a few limits:
Each code works for 10 minutes, and you get 5 tries to enter it. If you need another code, click Resend code. You can request up to 3 new codes, waiting 60 seconds between each one (the Resend code button is disabled until the wait is over), and every new code gives you 5 more tries.
If a code expires before you use it, Kajabi sends you back to the login page to start over. You may see Your verification code has expired. Please go back to sign in and try again.
If you enter the wrong code 5 times, Kajabi shows Too many attempts and You've exceeded the maximum number of verification attempts. Please start over to request a new code. Go back to the login page and start the reset again.
Note: To prevent abuse, Kajabi also limits how many resets, codes, and resend requests can happen in a short time. Starting more than 10 resets, entering more than 10 codes, or clicking Resend code more than 5 times, all within 15 minutes, triggers a temporary block. Kajabi then shows We're receiving too many requests. Please try again later. Wait a few minutes, then try again.
Change the 2FA method
To change your 2FA method while you're logged in, for example when you get a new phone:
In the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section, click Change.
In the pop-up, enter your password and click Confirm.
Click Log out and continue. Kajabi logs you out.
Log in again and set up the new method.
If you no longer have your old phone and can't log in, reset 2FA using the steps in "Reset 2FA from the login page" on this page.
Disable 2FA
You can disable 2FA only if your account doesn't require it:
In the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section, click Disable.
In the pop-up, enter your password and click Confirm. Your next login won't ask for a code.
Unable to modify 2FA
Cause: You only log in with Google, and changing 2FA needs a password.
Fix: Create a password using the steps in "Create a password if you only use Google" on this page, then try again.
2FA text message not received
If the 2FA text message doesn't arrive:
Check that your phone number and country are correct.
Check that your phone has signal or a data connection.
Click Resend on the 2FA screen.
2FA authenticator app code not working
If the 2FA code from your authenticator app doesn't work, set your phone's date and time to update automatically. Authenticator codes only work when your phone's clock is accurate.
Can one authenticator app hold several Kajabi accounts?
One authenticator app can hold 2FA codes for several Kajabi accounts. Each one shows as its own entry with its own code.
Verify an account email address
New Kajabi accounts and new account users must verify their email address:
If you signed up with a card: You can log in before you verify, but you can't send emails, add contacts, or connect payments until you verify.
Everyone else, including account users: Until you verify, the login page shows You have to confirm your email address before continuing.
To verify your email address:
In your email inbox, find the email with the subject line Confirmation instructions. If you don't see it, check spam, junk, and promotions folders too.
In that email, click Verify your email within 24 hours. Kajabi shows Your email address has been successfully confirmed.
Kajabi logs you in automatically. If your account requires 2FA, Kajabi logs you out instead so you can set up 2FA at your next login.
Account owners may see one of these messages if they click an old confirmation link:
Link older than 24 hours: Kajabi shows Email needs to be confirmed within 1 day, please request a new one. Resend the verification email using the steps in "Resend the verification email" on this page.
Link already used: Kajabi shows Email was already confirmed, please try signing in. Your email is already verified, so log in.
Resend the verification email
To resend the verification email:
Go to the Kajabi resend confirmation page.
Enter your email address and click Resend confirmation instructions.
In your inbox, open the newest email with the subject line Confirmation instructions and click Verify your email.
A link sent from this page keeps the deadline of your first verification email: 24 hours after that email was sent. If that time has already passed, the page sends a new link that works for 24 hours.
If you're already logged in, you can also click Resend email on the Verify your email address banner. That button always sends a new link that works for 24 hours, and it sends one email every 5 minutes at most.
Verify a new email address after changing it
When you change your email address in Account Settings, Kajabi sends an email with the subject line Confirmation instructions to the new address. The change isn't complete until you click Verify your email in that email within 24 hours. You don't need to turn off 2FA to change your email address.
Note: Until you verify the new address, you'll need to use your current account email address to log in.
Verify an email after 30 days of inactivity
When you log in with your email and password after more than 30 days without logging in, and you don't have 2FA, Kajabi asks you to verify your email first. This is separate from the first verification.
To verify your email after 30 days of inactivity:
In your inbox, open the email with the subject line Please verify your email address on Kajabi.
In that email, click Verify my email within 6 hours.
Kajabi logs you in, opens the Dashboard, and shows Email verification complete.
If more than 6 hours have passed, the link shows Your verification link has expired. Log in again to get a new email.
Login error messages
Each Kajabi login error message in this section lists its cause and the fix.
Invalid email or password
Cause: The email or password is wrong, or you entered customer login details related a Kajabi site. You also see this message if your account user login is suspended.
Fix: Reset your password. If you're a customer of a Kajabi site, log in on that site's own login page instead. If you're an account user, ask the account owner to check in Settings > Manage Users whether your login is suspended.
You have to confirm your email address before continuing
Cause: Your account email isn't verified yet.
Fix: Follow the steps in "Verify an account email address" on this page.
Your account has been inactive for more than 30 days
Message: Your account has been inactive for more than 30 days or we do not recognize this device. To unlock your account, please check your email for a verification link.
Cause: You logged in with your email and password after more than 30 days without logging in, and you don't have 2FA.
Fix: Follow the steps in "Verify an email after 30 days of inactivity" on this page.
Your password is expired, please check your email for password reset instructions
Cause: Your password has expired.
Fix: In your inbox, open the email with the subject line Instructions to reset your Kajabi password and set a new password.
Account blocked during login
Message: Your account has been blocked after multiple consecutive login attempts, check your email.
Cause: Too many incorrect login attempts.
Fix: Click UNBLOCK in the Account Blocked email, using the steps in "Unblock an account after an Account Blocked email" on this page. Resetting your password doesn't remove the block.
Unblock an account after an Account Blocked email
Kajabi may block your account after suspicious activity, such as suspicious login attempts, too many wrong passwords, or bot activity. When this happens, you get an email with the subject line Account Blocked.
Note: The Account Blocked email comes from a third-party service, so it doesn't come from an @kajabi.com address.
To unblock your account:
In your inbox, open the email with the subject line Account Blocked.
In that email, find the IP address (the network address of the device that tried to log in).
Check that it matches your own IP address, using a site like whatismyipaddress.com.
If it matches, click UNBLOCK in the email. A confirmation page opens.
Go to the Kajabi login page and log in with the correct password.
Warning: If the IP address in the email doesn't match yours, don't click UNBLOCK. Someone else may have tried to log in to your account. Before clicking UNBLOCK, reset your password first.
To avoid future blocks, read best practices for protecting your online business.
Secure an account after unauthorized access
If someone logged in to your Kajabi account without permission, act quickly.
These emails from Kajabi could mean someone else is using your login:
An email with the subject line Your Kajabi user password has been updated when you didn't change your password.
An email with the subject line Email change requested when you didn't change your email address. Kajabi sends it to the old address, and to the account owner if an account user's email changed. Contact Kajabi Support right away.
An email with the subject line Please verify your email address on Kajabi when you didn't try to log in. Kajabi only sends this email after someone enters your correct password, so someone else knows it.
An email with the subject line Account Blocked when you didn't try to log in. Someone tried to log in with wrong passwords.
Other signs of unauthorized access include:
Contacts imported or deleted, or email campaigns you didn't create
A changed site title, plan, or billing details
Account users you don't recognize
If you think someone got into your account but you haven't seen any of these signs, still follow the steps in "Resolve a compromised login" on this page.
Resolve a compromised login
To secure your Kajabi login after unauthorized access, do every step:
Go to the Kajabi login page and check you can still log in. If you can't, click Forgot your password? and reset your password. If the reset email doesn't arrive because someone changed the email address on your account, contact Kajabi Support. If you're able to log in, change your password in Account Settings > Sign In & Security.
In the Social Accounts section of Sign In & Security, click Disconnect next to a Google account you don't recognize. Logging in with Google doesn't use your password, so a Google account someone else connected still works after a you change your password.
Change the password for the email provider you use with Kajabi. Anyone who can open that inbox can reset your password.
Check the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section in Sign In & Security. If 2FA is off, turn it on using the steps in "Set up 2FA" on this page. If 2FA is already on, click Change and set it up again. Changing 2FA removes every authenticator app and phone number on your account, including any the hacker added.
In Settings > Manage Users, suspend any account user you don't recognize. Suspending blocks their login right away. See add and manage account users for the steps.
Contact Kajabi Support to report unauthorized access. Include:
The IP address (network address) of each account user. Find yours with a site like whatismyipaddress.com.
Whether you use a password manager
Whether you share login details with anyone, such as a service provider or colleague
Whether you use the same email and password on other sites (email, bank, social media)
The changes you found
If you're unable to access to access a compromised account, contact Kajabi Support.
Account security best practices
Keep your account secure with these habits:
Strong passwords: Make every password (email, Kajabi, bank, payment processor) long, complex, and unique. Test strength with a tool like security.org.
Password manager: Use a trusted password manager to create long, unique passwords.
2FA everywhere: Turn on 2FA wherever it's offered, with recovery options set up.
One login per person: Give each person their own account user login, so no one shares passwords or 2FA codes.
Limited admin use: Don't use the account owner, Co-owner, or Administrator login for day-to-day work unless necessary.
