A course allows you to teach your customers through visual and written content.

Each course can be made up of lessons and quizzes. Each lesson can include:

Media (video, audio)
Written content
Downloadable files

Lessons and quizzes live inside modules and submodules. Think of these like categories and subcategories to help you organize your course.

Kajabi offers many features for your courses, including:

Your customers can view your course on your website, the Kajabi mobile app, or your branded mobile app.

Create a course

Go to Products > Courses.
Click Get Started or New course.
Enter a title and brief description (700 characters max) for your course. Click Next.
- If the toggle Use this info to generate content and additional resources is enabled, AI will automatically generate modules and lessons for your course. A landing page, form, and email broadcast will also be created that you can use to promote your course. You can customize all of this content later. Learn how to write an effective

Choose a primary color, accent color, and thumbnail image. Click Next.
- If you customize colors, these will be added to your default Premier theme and Momentum, if you decide to install it. You can change these later.

Note:

Your course title, description, and thumbnail image will be displayed in your customer's library.

To create an offer, follow the steps below (you can find this later in Sales > Offers). To skip creating an offer, click Skip for now.
- Choose a Free or Paid offer.
- If you selected paid offer:
  - Choose if you want to have a paywall. This will create an additional offer.
  - Select the payment frequency and enter your price details.
  - Select a payment method.
- Click Next.

After creating your course, you'll be brought to the outline.

Edit course details

Go to Products > Courses.
Click the menu (...) next to the course you want to edit.
Click Edit details.
- You can edit your course title, description, and thumbnail image.

Use the AI Course Generator

Not sure how to structure your course? You can use the course generator to generate a course outline with modules and lessons.

Go to Products > Courses and open your course.
Click the purple star icon button.
Enter a description in the Course topic field (max 1000 characters). Learn how to write an effective AI prompt.
Click Generate.
An outline of modules and lessons will be generated (this may take up to 1 minute). If you like what you see, click Apply.
- This will add the new content to end of your existing course outline. No existing content will be deleted.
- If you don't like the results, try modifying your course topic and click Generate again.

Note:

If you want AI to generate longer content in your lessons, you can use the Use this info to generate content and additional resources option when creating a new course. This will also create a landing page, form, and email broadcast related to your course.

Preview a course

Go to Products > Courses.
Click the menu (...) next to the course you want to preview.
Click Preview.

Duplicate a course

Go to Products > Courses.
Click the menu (...) next to the course you want to duplicate.
If you have multiple sites, choose the site to add the course to. Click Duplicate.

Notes:

If you're unable to duplicate your course, you may have reached your product limit. You can view your plan usage, upgrade to a new plan, or increase your product limit.
Duplicating your course does not add your customers to your duplicated course. Only your content is duplicated. Also, if you have an assessment attached to your course, the assessment will not be duplicated.
At this time, you are not able to duplicate a Cohort Course. You can duplicate an evergreen Course.

Delete a course

Go to Products > Courses.
Click the menu (...) next to the course you want to delete.
Click Delete.
On the confirmation popup, click Yes, delete.

Note:

If your Course is attached to a recurring payment (payment plan or recurring subscription) offer, your customers will continue getting charged. Be sure to adjust your offer or deactivate the offer from your customers' profiles before deleting the Course to completely remove the offer containing the Course. Read How to cancel your customer's subscription for details.
