Edit automated email notifications

Learn how to edit your automated emails to align with your branding

Updated this week

Overview

Kajabi automatically sends several different emails and notifications. These automated messages occur after a purchase is made, after a new comment is posted in your Community, and more.

Note:

The automated emails sent by your site are not meant for marketing content, as they do not require recipient consent to deliver transactional emails. Learn more about marketing and transactional emails.

How to access your automated Email Templates

Automated messages are Email Templates in Kajabi and can be edited and customized under your Settings tab.

  1. Open the Settings tab from the Dashboard.

  2. Select Email Templates.

  3. There, select the ellipsis ... next to the title of the Email Template you wish to edit.

  4. Click Save to keep and apply your changes:

Note:

It is important to keep in mind that your automated email templates cannot be personalized for individual contacts, offers, etc. Customizing an automated email template displays your customization to each recipient for every transaction that triggers the email. How to use Liquid Objects in your email templates

Each Email Template supports the use of several Liquid Objects. Liquid Objects enable you to pull customer information, such as First Name, and use it to personalize your emails. You must determine which objects are supported by an Email Template.

To determine which Liquid Objects are available for a particular template:

  1. Open the Settings tab from your Dashboard.

  2. Locate the Site Settings section.

  3. Click Email Templates.

  4. Select the Email Template you'd like to edit.

  5. Locate the text below the content text body to determine which objects are supported in your selected email template:

Note:

The ####{{username}} liquid objects only work in the Member Welcome Email. If you need to send your customer their password, see Reset your customer's password.

How to add your branding to automated Email Templates

Build brand recognition whenever your site sends your automated emails.

When you add a Logo and customize the Button color to the primary link in a transactional email, your recipients will connect your message with your brand.
