What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and refers to files that are easily read by a computer application in order to automatically get the latest content from sources that are updated frequently, like websites, blogs, podcasts, and newsletters.


How do RSS feeds work?

Podcast Directories like Spotify, Apple, and Google don’t actually store your podcast files, instead, they use the RSS feed from your hosting site (Kajabi) to allow users to subscribe to your podcasts.

This means that once you create your Podcast on Kajabi, any time you update your podcast or publish a new episode, your podcast directories can use your RSS feed to automatically update and notify your subscribers.
